I had to reset my phone and lost shapewriter and its now not available from the marketplace. Seems that swype is not available there either so i am stuck on a default keyboard at the moment. Can anyone recommend a replacement? I see slideIT on the market for about a fiver, which i would pay if half the reviews didnt say it was worse than shapewriter and swype which were free :/

Need a bedside clock for my Evo, I've tried Kaloer, Night Clock etc but I'm probably being a noob here, they either work until the screen turns itself off or if I keep the screen on the 4 buttons along the bottom remain lit up :(
Want one that is ultra dim with no back light and does not have to be plugged in.

Anyone know a good replacement to One Touch Timer - has recently gone ad supported (which in itself isnt an issue) and now it wont play any sounds when the count down expires. Rely on it daily for cooking!

is there an android app similar to nosey parker on the iphone...couldn't seem to find one myself was wondering if anyone else had come across one as is quite handy...

Anyone know of a decent mp3 player, that will let me choose which folders it imports the tunes from. All the ones i've tried are pulling mp3 from any folder so i'm getting car engine tracks from a game -.-

Edit: Nevermind, found one called mortplayer which will let you select the folders :)

I know its a pain to do it to every folder that contains a song or picture, but isn't there a file you can download add, and copy to each folder you don't want media to be looked for (.nomedia). Its how you hide pics of your misses :D

What browser do the good folks of OcUK use? I've been using Opera but I'm not sure whether its the one I should be using...

I use the stock one that comes with the Desire, it's awesome :)

There are many people that use Dolphin HD, not sure of any others.

What's wrong with the double tap on Android, zooms and reformats fine for me.

There's nothing wrong with it but the safari method is much more sophisticated and natural.

Double tapping in android is just a fixed (x2?) zoom using the the coords of your finger, it then reformats (resize/stretch) the text around it, most other page content is simply ignored (like images, video, tables etc)

Safari zooms to any element you tapped on. If you double tap on the ocUK ad image above it'll fill the screen, not just zoom to that area at x2 view like android. Its a great way of browsing around pages rather than just using pinch/scroll (as Adrianr noticed). I'm sure google will add this functionality soon enough.

The standard clock one im presuming that takes up a few lines of widget space, with the big flat clock numbers, I like that, havent seen anything smaller.

Have you seen the power control widget that is standard? That covers wifi/gps/bluetooth/brightness.

Cheers dude :)

yeah standard widget control for wifi/lighting and so on is perfect

And cheers to ye also :).
