Essential Android Apps

Looking for a weather aoo like Weather Pro (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mg.android&feature=apps_topselling_paid) but with widgets that have transparent background and customisable text colour like SnowStorm. Any ideas?

SnowStorm may get an update in the near future as the dev is looking for help in improving it but that could be ages away too.

I have Weather Pro/Pro HD on all my devices and have paid the little extra for the Premium service. It you want the best weather app there is then go for Weather Pro and don’t worry about having transparent widgets as it’s irrelevant in the scheme of things.

Don’t you just love it when people complain about such “extortionate” software prices and spend a fortune buying their phones. :p

Don't get me started. App piracy is another. Rip off a £1 game that you're playing on a £600 iPhone? Halfwits.

PS: I know that's not the case here, but I felt a rant coming on :)

Not as deep as the app you linked to but can be set with transparent background and custom text colour. Full app has many skins styles available to download.

I was close to buying CoPilot Live Premium today using the £15 credit but then realised that Active traffic is only included for 12 months.

I'll stick to Google Nav then and wait for Google to add those additional features for no cost!

Edit*
Thanks Hector, I e already tried Fancy widgets though and the 4x2 widget has to include the click from what I could see :-(

I dislike a clock on the home screen!

I've bought Weather Pro, that's the whole point of my question above and yes, it is highly relevant because I don't want my home screen to look naff with an out of place looking widget.

At this rate I'll delete the widget altogether and just go app only leaving a cleaner home screen I guess.

I know, like I say, I want to like it but it's just bitter and horrible! :p

Not unlike yourself?

;) Sorry, low hanging fruit and all that :D

On a semi-related note, I just installed Jelly Bean on the One X. Wonder what app-related incompatibilities I'll run into.

I can never see myself replacing snowstorm weather widget! :p

It is just too good, not only does it look great, it provides all the info that is required nicely and it is the most accurate weather app/widget I have tried.

Actually it does appear to be the most accurate of the 3 I've been using today (Fancy, Weather Pro and Snowstorm).

Hmm.

Does anyone know of a weather app for weather geeks? Not just something that says "It might rain, derp". Preferably with a nice UI.

That's actually a nice app! And gives my location down to local level, which is cool. Cheers for the heads-up. :)
