Unfortunately there are no fully working ROMs of JB (especially with sense on top :p :o) for the 1S yet and won't be for a while :( (not a big developing community)

Not my screenshot :p

Although if you really want the ICS/JB notification bar, click here ;)

A bit buggy though :p

Nope and there won't be any JB update for at least another 3 weeks for any devices (officially) :p

Although there is a new update out and about, upgrade to 4.0.4, still not got it yet though :(

See more info. here

many thanks for the reply :)

yeah i tried out that JB notification bar when it was mentioned before (by yourself i think) and it was carp :p

damn, i hope it comes out soon, i'd really like to get rid of the 3 dots...

Sense on top of JB :o:o You crazy! :p

No problem :)

And yup it does need a bit more optimization..... :p

Shame that developer "teamsyndicate" or whatever their name is, don't really bother with updates and the majority of their apps are pretty poor so not looking for an update to improve it any time soon :p

Same! :( Shouldn't be too long............

Apex launcher has a new beta update and it has jellybean open/exit app animations, but only for jellybean!!!!!!!!

May have to give nova another try again..........

Nova doesn't have the new JB features yet, auto resizing/moving widgets, fling to delete etc

Trying to find a photo app to add things like fire etc to a photo....
Is there something out there like that? Needs to be realistic rather than cartoonish.....

I have PicSay Pro but that doesnt have anything like that.
Thanks

here's mine:
_ CyanogenMod.

that's it :D

also:
. root explorer (file manager)
. titanium backup (backup xD)
. AdFree (no more ads :D :D)
. gps status (solved of my problems with gps)
. whatsapp (messaging client)
. Gmaps
. springpad (notes synced in the cloud, awesome!)
. dropbox
. shazam (bloody useful to find the name of the catching song on the radio)
. three uk (phone carrier app)
. cm nighties (changelog CM)
. DOLPHIN BROWER (tried EVERY SINGLE ONE, best hands down)
. rom manager (easier to flash the latest nightly)
. swiftkey 3
. teamviewer
. voodoo louder (only for SGS2, higher volumes audio out)

I tend to use apps that allow me to have a backup of all my data in the cloud.
so even if my phone crash/dies/explodes no data loss

Deffo - now you know how I felt when I used the HOS for the first time :D. Why leave it out HTC!

ICS and to a lesser extent JB:p animations are very nice - just can't go back to animationless transitions!

Screen rotation animations are another must.

haha I most certainly do! :D

Still can't make my mind up as to which animation I prefer though :p JB is more noticeable than ICS, but the ICS animation is more minimal, which I like!

It certainly is, love that animation, thank god HTC left that one in place :p

In a way I actually; refer the ICS animations now as they softly and quickly dad in and out, just feels more fluid and snappy compared to Nova slide and the stock JB animations I fkashed our previously.

Went back to nova again last night as I wanted the JB/ICS animations back but after a few hours uninstalled again and back on apex :p :o

Just can't put up with the widgets looking wrong, they look all right with a 5x5 grid (still no where as good as apex especially with the 4x4 grid) but anything else just looks "off" and unfortunately smooth calendar can't be resized as it then looks ugly and there is no agenda widget that is as good/minimal as it. Pure grid calendar is a good alternative and suits the 5x5 grid perfectly but prefer the minimal style of smooth calendar.

The landscape issue is still there as well.

And then just certain wee things, which are missing from nova like the horizontal loop feature for the app drawer (don't want it on the homescreen, just the app drawer)

redraws/reloads issues.

Apex's tablet transition looks better.

I found the latest nova beta to be slightly quicker/smoother than apex though.

Guess I am stuck with apex for good! :p :o The developer said he is working on bringing the open/close animations for ICS phones as well, no date though :(

Going to give thumb keyboard another go as well. In a messing around/tweaking mood today :p

Starting to use my S3 a lot, lots of apps etc... Love this phone - best phone I've ever had, it's so intuitive and it just works so well, and you can customise the hell out of it - which I love.

However, is there a way of moving apps to the SD card, or at least utilising the SD card more?

If your phone is rooted, Link2SD:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&hl=en

Can move apps that usually can't be moved to the SD card. This freed up a good 30mb on my PLAY with it's tiny 380mb internal.
