Why is the official Facebook app so stupid?! I want to see the most recent posts first ever time I start the app, not what you consider the most popular!!!

meh, since the second last update as soon as I open slider messaging, a box pops up saying "unfortunately messaging has stopped" and the app just closes.

Unfortunately no one else seems to have the problem  and the developer doesn't seem to give a flying ****.

Looks like it is go sms with that theme for good :p

Yeah its very annoying. Mine usually stays on most recent but sometimes seems to randomly switch to most popular. I used to get the same issue with the iOS version.

I seriously hate the Facebook app. How stupid there's no simple way back to the top of your news feed. When I open it I want it back at the top.
It never loads or updates when my data connection is perfectly fine for other apps. I have to close the app from JB app switch menu and re launch it for my news feed to update it. hate it so so much

RE: Facebook app...

It's not just the app, the facebook website is the same - ALWAYS telling me what's deemed as 'top stories'... as if I give a damn, most of that I read days ago! Why is it still there!?

Friendcaster is the way to go guys! Always sorted by date so there's no question :)

Having only just found how I can have a widget that unfreezes and app, opens it, then freezes it again on the next tap, I'd really like to be able to put a widget into a folder on Nova. This doesn't look to be possible though. Are there other launchers that allow this?

Going to recommend this app again, IMO the best photo editing app there is:

Have also been trying out camera apps and I have to say I am very impressed by cameraMX, from the few shots that I have tried so far it has given me the best for quality, even better than stock sense camera app! Has a lot of nice features too, however, the UI is crap and looks dated :(

Will try to get a few comparison pics posted later on tomorrow.

Camera 360 is very good, loads of options and the UI is pretty nice, quality was the same as the sense camera app

Shame none have slow motion recording though! And don't have the same feel/carry out stuff the same way as the sense camera app i.e. holding down on the shutter button to take a burst of photos etc.

Also been trying out new news apps as I am fed up with how slow flipboard is, ridiculous how long it takes to load articles.

Google currents is nice, however, for some reason doesn't seem to show the 2 or so newest articles and plus not keen on some parts of the UI.

Pulse has a nice UI on the whole but I am not keen on the way it is laid out, a bit too cluttered.

Greader is great but again, a bit too cluttered I find.

Press is very much like flipboard in some ways, except the UI :p So using this for the time being, all it needs is a dark theme!

All are sooo much quicker than flipboard!

EDIT:

Here are just very quick shots:

Sense:

CameraMX:

Sense:

CameraMX:

Of course it may only be better in the conditions that I have tried, low lit/indoors shots, so it could still suck for daylight/outdoor shots :p

edit:

just tried taking shots of a few objects in bright light and there isn't much, if any difference between cameraMX and sense camera :p It is definitely better in slightly lower light though with and without flash.

Does anyone know if there is a dictionary app that can store your words in the cloud and sync them across many devices for easy reference??

Not that I'm aware of but it's an excellent idea, pita getting a new device to learn your custom dictionary!

However now I think about it isn't the user dictionary stored on the device ? it could be a case of copying the dictionary file to a cloud service then simply downloading it and pasting it into the new device ?

Got a few photos taken with sense, camera zoom and cameraMX in bright condition today and......they all paled in comparison to the sense app so uninstalled both :p CameraMX is definitely better for indoor low(ish) lit shots though, but everything else about it like a poor & dated UI ruin it :(
