So is Go Launcher the new Launcher Pro? ;)

EDIT: Installed it, where can I get the Transparent theme from?

Robbie, I have the MPC Remote app:

It pauses on incoming. Didn't know it unpaused when the call ends. Is that a recent addition?

I thought it was a standard feature tbh. The transparent theme can be downloaded via the app for go widgets. Just hit the skin option in a widget.

Also check this game out, it is really good:

Remote RDP Lite is free and very good! As it uses the RDP protocol built into Windows you don't need any server software sitting on each machine. I now use it to RDP into the servers while at work so I can do many duties while sitting in a meeting or whatever and thus impressing the bosses:

Embracing technology at its best? :D

I think once the 1280x720 resolution screen phones come out this type of this will be at its prime because 800x480 is usable but obviously a bit cramped.

I think Galaxy S III will be on my shopping list :p

Guys,

Has anyone found that camera 360's general quality is lower than the default camera app? I want to remove the camera app entirely and use something better on my SII.

For the 2nd time now, my messages have vanished with go SMS pro... Weird :s, will use my backup from 7am..

How is launcher pro far superior?

If anything it is the other way round.

Launcher pro was excellent however it has fallen way back a long time ago since go launcher got really good.

Go launcher has many features that are just excellent now where as LPP is just basic launcher compared to it.

It is just as fast and smooth as LPP and this is on my galaxy spica.

TBH I think fede has sort of abandoned LP for the time being especially since he started the music player app. He said it would have been out like a year ago and every month for the first 3 after he announced it.

What exactly has he done with the money he got as he said he would use the money he got to hire people to help him with the app.

He really needs to get that rewrite done and out otherwise many people will leave it and move to many of the other launchers out there and forget about LP.

Only thing that it really has going for it is the widgets, which go launcher has now and are probably better than the LP ones now IMO.

Not long ago, I would always put LP on my friends mobiles straight away, but not anymore :(

EDIT:

BTW what mobile do you have iamtheone?

I have a galaxy spica and there is no lag at all throughout the go launcher parts, apart from going back to the home screen after playing a game.

Fair comments (across the whole post).

2 things that still really bug me about go launcher:

1 - Can't have home screen/app drawer functionality for the home key (if not on home screen, go to home screen. If on home screen, open app drawer)
2 - Adding icons to folders is still clumsy (can't drag and drop from the app drawer to a folder), and I can't add to a folder once the screen is full

If I'm being dim and I can do those 2 things then I will gladly apologise profusely!

Hmm, I think I know what you mean:

1- you can go back to your homescreen using the home button, go to operation settings and home key action, but don't think you can open app drawer using it as well.

2- In the app drawer or homescreen folders?

Don't know about homescreen folders but in the app drawer you can just drap and drop the app icon into a folder.

And you can add as many apps to a folder in the app drawer as well, would it not be the same for the homescreen folder?

Just checked:

And yes you can't drag just from app drawer to the folder on homescreen.

However due to the amount of updates that go apps receive I am sure that they will implement these things in the future if you let them know.

Yeah, they are just the 2 that spring to mind, I have a few other niggles but I may give it a longer go seeing as launcher pro no longer tells me how many unread emails I have.
