OK here is food for thought.
Do we think that Vettel is likely to break any of MSc's records?
Yes
He's already youngest world champion and in the top 10 for others.

Which they also lose if Ferrari is faster and gets more points.
I just think that being overly safe isn't going to bring them much, even when they took the safe way it still meant Button lost Kers
they could have taken the gamble on buttons car though as he just came of a great result but i think hamilton gets the upgrades first when they come.

All of them.

Its also true (taking KERS into account) that JB has been faster than Lewis for the last three races......
Most fastest laps in a season is 10 (Kimi x2 and Schumacher)
Most pole positions is 14 (Mansell)
Most wins is 13 (from 18, so 72%) (Schumacher)
I'd say all 3 of those are up for grabs by Seb this year. Its also the 'hat-trick' he is rumoured to enjoy getting at races.
Absolutely, but this dominance will not last - and as soon as the car is caught, he will not handle the pressure.
Reading through posts here I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Vettel is only doing so well because of the car. Yes he is a great driver, but that Red Bull car is just awesome!
It's not just the car, otherwise Webber would have the same amount of points.Reading through posts here I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Vettel is only doing so well because of the car. Yes he is a great driver, but that Red Bull car is just awesome!
But if his car does get caught up (say next year), would he not simply move to a different team?
But, the best (and probably only) way to see how well a driver is driving is to compare him directly to his team mate.
It's not just the car, otherwise Webber would have the same amount of points.
How much would that cost him as he's signed a deal to stay until the end of 2014.
But you can't directly compare team mates, because as has been seen before (Schumi/Rubens, last years RB front wing), teams do not always support both drivers equally.
Based on how equal Vettel and Webber were last year in comparison to this, it would be a safe assumption that Webber is not receving the same level of support this year.
