EVO Experts and those who just generally know about new EVO's

Hi there

I agree with you on the EVO, I myself think of them as been driven by chavs and rude buys, just the image the car has been given. Elliot come on convince me a CSL is the way forward. :D

A chav and/or a rudeboy would have difficulty in both affording and insuring a decent Evo.

screw picking a car by the image it has in the public's mind...choose a car because it offers what you want. :) the evo does that for me.

anyone comfortable with themselves will buy a car based on what they think of it, not what other people might.
if it was universally acknowledged that the S2000 was a bit of a girly car, would that have stopped you from buying one?

Hi there

You can buy the FQ400 turbo which is good for 500+ but as we know the FQ400 turbo unit has some serious lag.

Forced performance 'EvoGreen' would be the turbo to choose bud. Retains low lag like stock turbo and with supporting mods is a solid 450+ Turbo.

New ish Turbo over here, 'BillyT' doing the best so far on it with 386BHP and 370lbft ATW at 1.8 bar on a forged 2Lt lump(v-power). :)

...and you loved you're Rover for what it was capable of, and probably didn't give a hoot that most people will have thought it was a ***** car.

the CSL/Evo appearances are determined by various things, but i wouldn't say that was a bad thing. IMHO a 911 turbo looks poo next to something like a Koenigsegg, but that doesn't mean the 911 looks bad at all ( i happen to think the 911 looks fantastic, but alongside a car that costs a couple of times as much it's to be expected...same goes for the Evo/CSL)

We all know that REAL chavs and rudeboys cannot afford evos OR scoobies for that matter.

I see what you're concerned about, the image of having huge rear wings and diffusers on your EVO which apparently makes you fall into the chav category. However only people with absolutely no car knowledge will say that!

I bet you're only worried about girls calling it a chav car when you're out and trying to score right? Just tell them "well it was either this or a porsche, and it had to be this because it has a rather soft and comfotable big backseat" with emphasis on the soft and comfortable bit.

And what do you mean the EVO looks bad? i think it's looks absolutely gorgeous.

did i just read that they use leaf springs on the Z06??
Ok, maybe it weighs as much as a block of flats and uses suspension that was generally used in the 70's but it'll still outhandle an Exige.

I can't see, I'm covered in worms.....

Don't go that route. That big, soft back is a haven for baby seats. *They* are always one step ahead.

Stop messing about, just go get a CSL :p

Evo's just have that 'look' about them that i don't like. Most people on the street will just think its some rude boy Car with all its spoilers and bumpers

Most people will look at a CSL and think that it's just another run of the mill BMW with its dull styling.

Hi there

I am bothered about looks a bit, I do like something rare if possible or at least nice on the eyes.

However it is not so important that it controls my buying decision and hence why I would consider both an EVO and M3 CSL, irrelevant of the fact one might have a rude boy reputation and the other is just a glorified 3 series, albeit fantastic handling. :)
