Right. Time to hang my hat on a prediction. I'm going to go with a 20 seat majority for the Tories which will be viewed as a disaster considering their numbers 6 weeks ago.
Somewhere is this ballpark seems about right, and it will be a disaster.

Yep, I have done a lot of work over the last few years in the education sector. Those who work in it know how bad the cuts have been. Drastic doesn't come close.
Lots of colleges are in financial ruin. Making staff redundant, closing courses. The government just says they need to merge with other colleges. Beyond belief!

School my partner works at could only offer 2 fixed term TAs jobs for next year, out of the 5 that were on fixed term contracts this school year.

And it will only get worse over the next couple of years.

As a public sector worker (WMFS) myself of nearly 3 years I can't put into words the significant and dramatic changes that have occurred since I started the job. Due to cuts in funding / grants resulting in a recruitment freeze and even though they've been able to recruit this year they've been unable to keep up with natural wastage of operstional staff leaving. It's mind boggling how the Conservatives see this as being sustainable.

She's spent more time telling us why we shouldn't vote for corbyn over why we should vote for her
This more than anything has driven me crazy in the run up to this election. As someone who was voting labour anyway, there was tons of media around the election for weeks and i still don't really know what the tories stand for besides cutting funds from vital public services...that and their dementia tax. At no point have they ever seemed to try and win votes by actually selling themselves, instead they opted for the whole campaign to be "point out how bad the other guy was in the 80s.....supposedly." and "look at that tired woman misspeaking repeatedly in interviews, how bad is she, don't want her in charge now do we"

If he hadn't invaded Iraq would you be saying the same thing? Genuinely curious. I think that's what did most for his popularity.

If he got elected now though, he wouldn't have the ability to let in lots of people. Brexit essentially ensures at least somewhat immigration is controlled, which was the other problem people had with him.

I must say, it's been 20 years and we still haven't had as charismatic a leader as him. I'm amazed out of 650 MPs there isn't one.
Nope Lisbon treaty, and opening the country up to mass eastern European immigration.

At the rate they're going I'd be surprised if they can hold a pen, let alone place a cross in their desired box! I think I'm just getting old - 10 beers and shots on a Thursday?!

pfft student nights at nightclubs started Tuesday when I was at uni and by Friday you just had a rest and went to your local pub or a gig.

So just like the rest of us in the private sector have experienced for the last 10 to 15 years then?

They apparently don't have the most up to date list and evening if you turn up with a voting card they are turning them away and not allowing them to vote. Not sure what the make up is of that seat but might cost labour a seat.

It's a marginal seat

Clearly you aren't working hard enough if you can't afford to send your children to private school you slacker. I mean the Tories have cut the cost of this by 20%

By the "rest of us" in the private sector I can only assume you mean more the many zero hour contract workers and lower mid level earners as it appears the high end earners (including entirely failed leaders in the banking sector) have done rather better than that...

It doesn't help that a lot of her policies are very vague....

Vote for me for a good deal on brexit (i'd like to know what a good deal is like to her... Its different for everyone)

Vote for me and you'll have a dementia tax for social care (but I don't know what the cap will be)

Vote for me and we will stop the terrorists (well do something with the internet but I don't know what exactly)

She may as well be saying "you can have what labour wants.... Or you can gamble and take what's inside this box"

Does the private sector have to witness the effects translating to children or sick people?
Not me personally. I can't speak for everyone. I have had to lay off people (not my decision) who I know are going to be in severe financial trouble and wreck their kids childhood though.
