Yes very uncomfortable lol

"A cross-party amendment led by the Labour former business secretary Chuka Umunna calling for the Government to set out proposals for the UK to remain within the customs union and single market was defeated by 322 votes to 101, a majority of 221."

That was never going anywhere, and not what I was alluding to.

With the level of debate in here that's not really a problem.

We have a confirmed Tory government again. Phew.

possibly the reason for a lack of debate is because one side poses an argument, and the other replies with "lolno at least herr corbyn didn't get in may's a saint lololol" without providing any kind of justification.

cmon, you're evidently happy the tories are back in (even if it's based on a tenuous bribe to a party with terrorist links who aren't necessarily going to support them in every policy), so what would have been so bad about a corbyn government? specifically.

It's been covered enough in this thread - but corbyn is a **** and wanted to effectively turn everyone into an entitled benefit claimant to bankrupt the country.

It's a good thing his 'what's in it for me' culture won't be led by an actual prime minister.

Labour support leaving the single market / customs union too - hard Brexit is just Brexit now.

The 'People' voted for a hung parliament - the deal with the DUP is the established method for dealing with that scenario - plus so what if NI gets a bit more money this time round.

The 'People' screw the NHS more than the government ever could.

I couldn't care less about internet privacy - don't do it online if you don't want it repeated IMO.

I've not always been a Labour fan but this is utter, utter rubbish.

I can't think of a single main policy that turned anyone into a benefit claimant. Were there even many benefit changes except on social housing?

Most of the policies are in use in most of Europe whether they have left or right wing Governments. Norway seems to do alright.

If Corbyn was in any position of real power the kind of changes he and many of the real movers and shakers in Labour at the moment want would make those countries like Norway look positively hard right leaning :s

The implications of what May is trying to do goes far far beyond that and really should concern you and everyone.

Everything was about stuff being paid for by somebody else.

Half the country don't pay income tax and half the country think that taxes should be raised according to that poll today.
