F1 2009 Season discussion/development thread

Well atleast there is some good variation in the look of the 2009 cars.

IS there a purpose to the raised edges to the nose section? Makes it look like a cheetas shoulder bones... :)

Why the big fuss about the car? I think it looks as 'bad' as the rest of them - I'd just the maccy and ferrari the nod over it, but by a slim margin as there isn't much in it, imo.

'Bad'? Really? Looking at the RB5 and then looking at the 2008 car - the new one looks miles better IMHO. All those stupid appendages really look ridiculous next to the clean lines of the 09 reg cars. Even the front and rear wings have grown on me (except for the snowplow on the BMW).

I liked the 'aero' cars - yeah it killed the racing, but they looked purdy. If you dont like them, then yeah you are going to love the new cars, but my point was why the big fuss about the RB5 - it looks nothing amazingly different to the other cars, except the nose cone (where most cars look different too each other).

The 'aero' cars just looked messy imo, much prefer the lines of the the 2009 cars, with the major exception of that rear wing, few inches wider and it'd be great...

The Red Bull does look different/nice though, think I still prefer the McLaren, more importantly it'll be interesting to see how they go, Red Bull has some very unique features like the very high nose, be interesting to see if that works...

i take back what i said earlier about the redball... Seen new photos and there's some impressive stuff on there that no other team has thought of... like rear wing end plates that extend down to the floor of the car, almost extending the diffuser, at least i think that's what Newey has in mind...

Times are looking good for it as well.

Reno have got to worried...

Scratch that, Alonso must be screwing..

Bah :\ Any news CS on what was up this time?

Vettel either looks really upset or looks like he is going to be sick. (Or holding a phone?)
