I can't work out if the rumour about Honda being bought has been confirmed/denied yet in this thread.

But I just spoke to a girl at work whose boyfriend works on the Honda car (Infact he is building the one for 2009 season) and she says that there is no new news.

Apparently the guy who owns Petronas (or something similar) has been seen walking around at Honda but nothing has come of it.

im really not sure how honda or whatever it will be called will expect to be able to perform or even race for 2009. A heavyly modified 2008 car is going to be horrible.

iirc, they have been developing the 2009 car anyway, they just have had no testing, and not sure which engine is going to be used?!

Ferrari ruled out helping them, so McLaren stepped in. At least that was the news a month or two ago.

Renault have come to Keevil Airfield every year for the past god knows how long for straight line testing. I assume that the ban on in season testing means they wont be doing this... and even if it didnt ban this kind of testing, they have sacked all there testing staff

Keevil Airfield is 3 miles from me
