F1 2012 - Teams and Drivers - Who goes where?!

Coming from a guy who couldn't name both Toro Rosso drivers.

maybe if they werent so average the names might have stuck in my mind.

thankfully im not the only one who believes that and we wont see seeing them next year, soon no one will remember them :D

Well officially, Trulli has a contract with Caterham for 2012 alongside Kovalainen. But I think Caterham would be better off buying him out and getting in Alguersuari or possibly Barrichello if they're looking to replace experience with experience and entusiasm.
they should get massa or coulthard:P

you never know it could be coulthards year! no really this time :P

Hope Caterham do a Toro Rosso next year and get two different drivers in.

Why? Heikki has done a superb job - most importantly, he seems happy. So much better than when he was at McLaren, and Renault as well tbh.

Jarno, well, is Jarno. When his mind is focused he can do a good job. Just as he ages it seems to.. oooh... vinyard... ;)

I'm kinda hoping for 8/9th in the championship for Caterham in 2012. Tall order, but with 2 wind tunnels running and more top people coming on board all the time, it's possible.

Heikki is doing exactly what Caterham need him to do, which is push the car beyond its design, something that Trulli isn't doing. He's providing them with good qualifying and race results, which pleases the sponsors, and is a great asset to the development process.. All you hear from Trulli is "my power steering isnt working, I dont like this car".

Massa out, Webber to retire along with Schu. Sergio Perez into Ferrari, not sure about Red Bull, would be awesome to see Kobayashi though. Perhaps Ricciardo or Vergne if they do as well as Vettel did. Di Resta into Mercedes would be the obvious option if he continues to improve and Force India give him a good car.

Massa almost certain I believe, Webber I'm not to sure (50/50) and Schumy is pretty much up to him. If they have a car competing for wins then who knows if he'll extend another year.

Well, call that last bit wishful thinking :D

So much for Force India being rumored to announce they're drivers today.

Winter 2012 depends a lot on the 2012 cars.

If Merc don't produce a good one, I can see Schumacher retiring.
If McLaren don't produce a good one, then I can see Hamilton being on the market. And I can see him moving to RBR, but only if Webber retires. Or it could be that Hamilton moving there forces his hand into retirement (a la DC).
Ferrari will be Alonso and Kubica if he recovers, Alonso and Perez if not.

All wishfull thinking :)

The Hulk and di Resta have finally been confirmed at Force India. That's going to make or break each of their careers I think.

Going to be interesting to watch. Ive rated Hulkenberg for a while now and was very happy he got a drive with williams. And then they ditched him.

Di Resta is just a really nice and exceptionally corporate friendly guy. As well as being a good driver.

Hulk has been out for a year, but has a years experience in the williams, the should push each other pretty hard.

Petrov to Williams maybe?

I like Hulkenberg as well. Hope he drives well next season.

I think (hope) Sutil is more likely to get the Williams seat than Petrov.

Petrov has been rumoured to land in Marussia given the obvious Russian connection.
