F1 Testing 2010

Lots of mileage today - especially Lotus but not Virgin though!

Very interesting.

I wonder why Hamilton (1872KM) is getting so much of the testing mileage, compared with Button (992KM).

Button needs all the practise time in the car he can get, but it seems that McLaren are doing all they can to ensure that Hamilton starts the season with as big an advantage as possible.

OMG, Button has now done a 100km more than Hamilton why are McLaren stabbing Lewis in the back? They're probably all racists.

If Lotus/Virgin are THIS slow already, there are going to be issues - they will end up being mobile chicanes. Add in that they have tested, *IF* Campos/USF1 get on the grid they'll be even slower in all probability. As well as that, there are reliability issues already with the slow cars and Campos/USF1/Stefan GP get on the grid and those who finish will all score points. Could be a bit of a joke if they're not careful tbh...

I think there is a big difference between circa 900KM (which is what the deficit was) and 100KM. Furthermore, Hamilton doesnt need as much testing time as Button, as Hamilton is already familiar with the sort of cars which McLaren produce.

Button needs more time in the car, in order to start the season without a big disadvantage.

As for the racist jibe: thats just silly.

sunama just trolls the f1 threads

!!!

*PALM TO FACE*

You must be either; constantly baiting everyone in these F1 threads, or being deliberately obtuse.

So far on the reliability stakes of the new teams - Lotus is kicking Virgin's arse. :D
Only been at one test *unlike Virgin who have done 2* and it's 315 laps vs 231

Can someone order Virgin a replacement bus service for the second half of the race?

It is tough for the new teams, they can have all the CFD in the world but, never know the strains put on a car on the track. I think both teams will get there, will just take time. Look at Toro Rosso, they had all our expertise and struggled like Fully star out swear words! for 2 years.
