Fallout 4 CPU benchmark thread(need some Zen3 and Zen4 results!)

Would it be worth replacing 5800x with 5800x3D for F4? I get drops into mid 20's downtown Boston, especially around the USS Constitution. With RTX3070.
Probably the easiest upgrade you can do. Unfortunately nobody on our list has done a like-for-like 5800X/5700X to 5800X3D comparison.

However, downtown is probably closer to S2 and the average S2 score for a 5800X is 90 while the 5800X3D is 129 and that's around +40%.

Yes, the absolute S2 champion is a 13700K (surprisingly with "just" highly tuned DDR4), but while the best 5800X3D does have good memory, memory tuning is less of a requirement there.

Not a bad result. I didn't run your standard test. Just loaded a saved game, where I knew I was CPU-bound. 5800x had a volt offset to boost to 5Ghz. 5800x3D is stock.

Well. Moved from a 1080 to a 6800 and noticed 0 increase in performance in F4 on a 4770k @ 4.0Ghz. I know. Ancient CPU. Yet see a 2x increase (the delta I was buying at) in CyberPunk.

32GB PC3-17100 DDR3 2133.

11700 -- 40fps.
8000 -- 47fps.

I'm trying not to build a Starfield...rig before it comes out.
Using this table to buy my next CPU as I play a lot of F4. Thanks for getting this all together.

So that puts you in 2nd last (my old i5 3570K is still the lowest even below the APUs.

As for Starfield: we live in (unrealistic) hope that Bethesda with all the money they have these days will release a game which isn't half finished. The good part of Bethesda's release: there's no point in rushing and paying full-price unless you like beta-testing!

Some confoundingly subpar results to report.

CPU: Core i9-9900K @ 4.8 GHz GPU: RTX 3080ti
RAM: 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz OS: Windows 10 64bit

Corvega- Draw Calls: 11040 FPS: 62.4
Diamond City- Draw Calls: 8105 FPS: 78.4

Is it my crappy single rank RAM?

Maybe your positioning when getting the FPS isn't helping as the drawcall numbers indicate you are in a different position. You will lose a few FPS that way. This is roughly where u need to be:

Also what are you memory subtimings? 3200CL16? 3200CL18?

13600k P core @ 5.8Ghz E core @ 4Ghz
DDR4 2x16GB dual rank @ 4133Mhz CL15 tuned.
Hyperthreading disabled.
3060ti
That puts you at the new #1 slot:

Added a % from the max column too. The top 10 or so don't have much between them but some of the other do.

Still waiting for Zen4 3D results - me and CAT have already begged on the Zen4 3D thread a few times but no luck so far.

I can do a highly tuned 7950x3d run when i get around to it, hopefully this week
Thanks in advance.
The instructions are in the OP. Not the easiest benchmark but not the hardest either.
It's windowed at 480P or so, so if you have trouble reading the output (you have to try and match the drawcall count we all use) then switching to a lower desktop resolution might help.

I know, i'm "Det0x" from you leaderboard above :) (#1 with regular Zen3 and Zen4)

A massive increase in performance!

Edit!!

The performance increase over the Ryzen 9 7950X you tested is massive!

There you go: way at the top:

Not only that but a huge leap from your previous 7950X with the same setup.
Or summaries vs your 7950X score and the top scored 13600K

Fallout 4 loves Zen4 3D.

EDIT: updated the memory specs on the table.
