Must say I'm really glad I gave FONV a second chance. Bit of a slow, frustrating start but I'm several hours in now and really enjoying it, although I can't imagine that anything in this game will top the awesomeness of Liberty Prime in FO3.
Im getting ,, THE STEAM SERVERS ARE CURRENTLY TOO BUSY TO HANDLE YOUR REQUEST. PLS TRY AGAIN LATER, s i thought id delete it and reinstall it, still the same, if you delete the game are your saves still in the folder?

Another must-have mod: one that enables you to play without Steam. I have a fully kosher DVD of the game, and yet I can't play the ****ing game because apparently the ****ing Steam servers are busy. Why can't I play the ****ing game I ***ing paid for? I've got the ****ing disk and I still can't ****ing play because I still need to connect the ****ing Steam servers. Why? In the name of God why to I need to connect to the ****ing Steam servers to play the ****ing game I paid for and have the ****ing disk for? The ****ing cover doesn't even say it's a Steam game, never mind that I can't ****ing play if the ****ing servers are busy. Why do I have to download a dodgy illegal patch to do what I paid good money to do? Steam activation I can live with, but when people are ranting about Ubisoft's silly DRMs, why does Steam escape?
And yes, I'm a little unhappy. I already hated Steam even more than I hate the fanbhoys who bang on endlessly about how it's the ****ing future of gaming. This merely confirms my hatred.
And F:NV is not very good either. Although I'd like to play it be sure. At some point. If Steam don't mind.
M
Fricking hdd died and I lost all my mods and saves for my current play through
Was also getting that strange message from Steam last night about it being too busy to download. quite annoying.
The Bethesda Blog has a September 20th release date for Lonesome Road, the delayed DLC for Fallout: New Vegas, Obsidian's action/RPG sequel, while also revealing plans for two additional DLC packs called Courier's Stash and Gun Runners' Arsenal to follow a week later, offering content previously only available as a preorder bonus. They offer some screenshots from Gun Runners’ Arsenal and the following explanation of all this:The Courier’s journey ends this September.
We’re excited to share that Lonesome Road, the fourth add-on pack for Fallout: New Vegas, will be available for download on Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network and Steam on September 20th.
In Lonesome Road you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas. Ulysses promises the answer as to why he didn’t take the job, but only if you make one last journey into the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. It’s up to you whether you take the job or not.
But wait! There’s more!!
Today we’re also announcing two additional DLC packs, Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal, which will be available for download one week later on September 27th.
Courier’s Stash (Xbox LIVE for 160 Microsoft points, PlayStation Network and Steam for $1.99) gives players immediate access to four content bundles previously available only through pre-ordering Fallout: New Vegas. The Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack and Tribal Pack each offer unique weapons, apparel and aid advantages that will help you throughout your journey.
Gun Runners’ Arsenal (Xbox LIVE for 320 Microsoft points, PlayStation Network and Steam for $3.99) increases the range of unique weapons, weapon mods, ammo types and recipes waiting to be uncovered in the vast Mojave Wasteland.

Thats what I was thinking.....
Still a really good game though.... had a tough act to follow with FO3 and essentially wasn't a great deal different.
