Fallout: New Vegas

Subtle depth of field in the Project Reality Mod configuration menu. Even if it is already off, turn it on then off again. I it is a bug, and since the author has stopped molding all together, it will never be fixed unfortunately.

Getting 4gb to work with NVSE is a real pain. There is an alternative loader somewhere, I think it is packaged with the enhanced shares ENB, which is what I use now.

Thanks for getting back to me I will have to try this.

I have also found another way to improve performance at least with my specific setup. I found out by going into enbseries.ini and changing this
FPSLimit=30.0
to this
FPSLimit=60.0
For some reason the FPS Counter when you Shift+Enter still shows as 30 but I am pretty sure it runs more smoothly (less mouse lag/lag when looking left and right for e.g.) with these settings the game now feels much more fluid and smooth / insert adjective

Sorry to be a pain with all these questions but I have another!

I am not sure if the following is a bug or a feature? When I am aiming down the sights my weapon becomes translucent.

I also noticed that NVEC is required with all DLC. No problem to purchase them (when it's on Steam Summer Sale of course) but my worry is I will have to tinker and install all these mods again although I have not yet installed NVEC :eek:

How did you go about doing this, just out of curiosity? :)

I got the £25 upgrade edition of Windows 8 a while back and I still got retail Windows 7 so I just used the disc and re-installed from there.

If you mean why then because I've been having some problems with games getting them/mods/stuff to work nicely inc. NV. Will probably install Windows 8.1 later this year though ;) (I miss the quick boot up times)

Just fired this up thus weekend

I only discovered fallout in the last year with 3

I hate this game as it's so complex and I'm a perfectionist!
I also love the complexity, but do find it takes some Internet reading to grasp the concepts of what does what. I f'ed up my fo3 character as I didn't appreciate the importance of special etc

On thing I find is I level up to quick as I like to do everything! I was up to 150 hours on 3
I played fo3 on console but this on htpc. I'm finding it a bit weird with fov or something as I doesn't take long for me to feel a bit nauseated!

Love games like this, civilization etc

Just got this from the Steam Sale and would like to get it started as soon as I finish Bioshock Infinite.

Would you guys recommend a playthrough without mods first or install the mods then play for the first time?

Also, what mods are you guys using?

Manly looking for visual/realistic mods :)

I got this during the Steam summer sale. Really enjoying it so far.

Have made it to New Vegas and recovered the chip from Benny. Now I have a quest to go meet Ceaser. Not sure whether I should go in peacefully or guns blazing. I had been killing Legion guys on sight till now, but now I have the Mark of Ceaser, so could do it either way.

You can do whatever you like after you have heard him out. Personally, I just leave and then come back later, with a follower(usually Boone, as it opens up his quest)

Sounds like a plan. Now I just need to decide if I want to side with the NCR or Mr House. Leaning towards Mr House at the moment.

So I met with Ceaser and "did" his quest in the bunker, though of course I sided with Mr House and upgraded his army. Now I'm facing the choice of either handing over my weapons to the door guard or blasting my way out.

Can I kill Ceaser now? I REALLY want to kill Ceaser now!

You can come and go whenever you like, as often as you like. You can even work with the Legion if you want. You have the Mark of Caesar, which has reset faction rep with the Legion(at least at the fort). Until you kill more Legion, you are safe at the Fort(but not elsewhere I believe, so Wasteland Legion will still attack you). Beware though, Boone will not go with you unless you plan to kill them all.

Hmmm ok. Think I'll leave peacefully for now, go do a few more quests elsewhere and then come back with Craig Boone in tow and wipe the Fort off the map :D

I've spent the last 2 days on this :o I've been away from fallout 3 long enough that I needed a fix and so I installed this instead and now I can't come off it! Awesome fun just like 3 :)
