Fallout: New Vegas

I've spent the last 2 days on this :o I've been away from fallout 3 long enough that I needed a fix and so I installed this instead and now I can't come off it! Awesome fun just like 3 :)

Its awesome, aint it? I got Fallout 3 during the winter steam sale and played the hell out of it. Did pretty much every quest there was and all the DLC. Ended up with an insane amount of caps, to the point I was paying people to repair my weapons just to spend money.

Loving New Vegas, but only getting 1 perk every 2 levels does make it a bit tougher, at least at the lower levels. Also I miss Dogmeat and Fawkes...

Tbh, I used to use a mod to add a perk to every level, but I didn't really find any I wanted to use!...if anything, I run out of vanilla perks that are useful quite quickly.

Interesting that you both come from FO3...I have always said that New Vegas is superior in every single way!

It seems very similar gameplay wise, which is good because FO3's gameplay was really fun. I like the additions of different weapons and factions etc. but I don't like the map as much so far... Oh well still awesome :D

However I seem to be in some great trouble at the moment :( I'm doing the quest for Caesar, trying to get the White gloves in on the deal or something, I went to talk to the leaders then once I had finished talking the quest 'locked' (blacked out on the pipboy) and I now have the "beware the wrath of Cesar" quest on there saying that I will soon be an enemy! I went back to him and he was on about me ruining all his bribing and stuff?? Now he still expects me to get the White gloves on his side but the quest is still locked and there are no more speech options with the owners???

I'm really confused :(

All I know is that the quests are incredibly intricate in this game...there are so many variables that it is very easy to lose yourself, and miss possible consequences etc. Most quests have multiple outcomes, it really is the best improvement over FO3 imo.

I have never played as Legion, so I don't know specifically.

The quests 'Beware the wrath of Caesar' and 'Don't Tread on the bear' come up when you do something for an opposing faction, they are basically warnings that they will not tolerate you doing any more for that faction(neither Legion or NCR like you siding too much with House btw, so they might force you to make a choice).

The thing that has confused me is I have done nothing (and I mean nothing!) against the Legion, I was just chatting to the guy they said to chat to when it happened? The NCR also suddenly dislike me even though I've not done anything that really affects them :(

I don't mind the hate, it's just I now can't do the mission :(

Just firing this up for the first time, god I hope it's better than the disappointment of FO3

It's the same game with a new map and equipment honestly, so unless you disliked 3 solely on the story or map then you probably won't like this :(

I'm getting about sick with this game at the moment, every time I try to load a save or continue it stays loading forever and stops responding!

I got Rex as a companion from The King. Now I just need to get the poor pooch a replacement brain. Dont want him to have a Legion doggy brain, so think I'll go for a scrap yard owners option.

Got my poochy a new brain and hes a happy wee doggie now! Also got Lily as a companion, though I dont think I'll be using her much. Prefer Veronica or Boone.

Now do I go build some bridges with the Boomers or do I go back to the Fort and blow Ceasers brain out. hmmmmmm!

The only thing that I still absolutely hate about Fallout 3 and Vegas is the fact once you've done the last mission you can't play any more :( I hope they change that for the next one...

Need to get a good stealthy companion
