Fallout: New Vegas

Yeah, it increases HIS movement speed. He already runs off too much as it is, dont wanna make him faster as well :p

Heh, I used Rey's brain anyways, was just saying there are three to choose from in case you didn't realise! :D

The only thing that I still absolutely hate about Fallout 3 and Vegas is the fact once you've done the last mission you can't play any more :( I hope they change that for the next one...

Need to get a good stealthy companion

With Broken Steel installed you can play FO3 as much as you want after the main quest has finished, agree with it being annoying on New Vegas but I guess there are too many different endings for them to cater for to make it viable.

Yeah I got broken steel in the end but when it was DLC-less it annoyed me :(

Luckily the game saves right on the decision so I went back to that and am now going around slaughtering everything in my site to take out my anger :D

Does anyone know if you can still get Lily as a companion if the NCR hate you? The quest is from a guy in an NCR town from what I've seen...

Well I went back to the Fort with Craig Boone and wiped the place out. Ceasers tent was a challange. All those high level guys with fist weapons kept owning me. Found the best solution was to aggro them, run outside, and then use a grenade launcher to blast them as they emerged. Combined with falling back and making them run to me, it helped me take them out without getting overwhelmed. And now Ceaser is dead and I got Boones companion quest as well :D

I got Lily as a companion last night. Shes in the small "town" thats controlled by Super Mutants and Nightkin. Their leader is voiced by Worf from Star Trek: TNG :D I'm not hated with NCR, but I dont think it would matter if you were.

This game is annoying, why is there a lack of stuff too kill, cleared prism out of bandits.
Found the death claw nest in the quarry can't kill them, found the giant scorpions near the cemetery can't kill them, can't find any good areas for smaller critters. Just wondering around there's nothing to gain XP with.

yeah there should be plenty of giant ants to kill. And Powder Gangers. Did you do the quest to get a new sheriff for Primm? You can go clear out the prison to get one. Good exp and loot to be had there.

Also you can stick to the safe road mentioned in the main quest and make your way to somewhere like Novac. Plenty of stuff to do there. The quest with the ghouls at the test site is good exp. And you can get Craig Boone as a companion.

Yeah got the sherif,
Where's the ant?

Didnt clear out prison.

You do get a small quest to clear out some ants from the Ranger Station where those statues are. Also, the ranger on top of the building(Ghost) gives you a quest to go to Nipton, which will give you plenty to kill.

The prison(which I don't clear out tbh, as the prisoners can give you some decent quests) is back towards Goodsprings a little...it is where the potential Sheriff is for the Primm sheriff quest.

Getting the sheriff from the prison is the best option in my opinion. If you get the NCR to do it, they tax the town and drive up store prices. If the guy in the prison does it you get a discount instead. And if you reprogram the robot, you dont get much of anything. Plus it makes the deputy quit in disgust at working for an unfeeling machine.

That doesn't mean there's a lack of stuff to kill, it's just there's a lack of easy things to kill ;)

A bit off topic, but does anyone know if the original Fallout and Fallout 2 still work ok on modern systems? I was toying with the idea of playing them as some point to get the back story to Fallout 3/NV, but not sure if they'd still play well on Windows 7.

I think GOG sells them so I would imagine so
