Perhaps combined with a "time accelerator" type function it could work well.
Sort of like a 'Fast Travel' function?? Sorry, had to say it

I just had the battle with Legate Lanius and his cohorts - that was well hard!
I went for four eyes (wear a hat as well for +3 Per) and good natured
What traits did you guys go for at the start?
I went for "Kamikaze" (+10 AP, -2DT), and "Small frame" (Aglity +1, fragile limbs).
Looking through the list again, I don't think there are any others that I would choose (apart from 'wild wasteland' maybe...). Certainly I'm glad that I took the Kamikaze option... there are plenty of ways to improve DT, but bumps to AP are hard to come by (doesn't increase with level, so you only really have the action boy perks, or the tiny bump you get from increasing agility).
This game is now 14 pounds on a certain website...
I haven't found it yet for £14...I want to get it for someone for Christmas.
Remember with 4 eyes it lowers your perception by 1 for rols so you need 7 at the start to qualify for all perception rolls.
It's 14 quid on a website...I love the Gameplay in NV. Cough cough
# Taking this trait effectively lowers your base Perception by 1 point when attempting to qualify for perks. This means the player must have a base perception of 7 to qualify for all perception based perks (except Infiltrator which requires 8 instead of the usual 7 due to the -1). This can be achieved by taking perception 7 at creation, or perception 6 with Intense Training or an implant added later to boost it to 7.
# Wearing glasses with this trait will actually raise perception by +2 as seen in the pip-boy display, thereby nullifying the -1 in terms of accuracy benefits, compass benefits and skill benefits (though not the damage to base perception, thus requiring the player have 1 more point of permanent perception to take an associated perk). Perception 7 at creation, with this perk (glasses equipped), Intense Training +1 or an implant and a +1 perception hat will still total 10 perception.
can you complete the quest for the other guy (replace current elder) and see if that fixes it?

Me too, I saw from another post you've found it out of stock, could you hint at the site?
