Fallout: New Vegas

I just had the battle with Legate Lanius and his cohorts - that was well hard!

Yep I found it took a while but got there in the end. I wasn't ready for that section at all and really should have had all the weapons repaired etc - I had 10,000 caps to spend.

I didn't realise that was the end, I had a lot more to explore :(

Guess you have to start again and just side with other factions instead?

What traits did you guys go for at the start?

I went for "Kamikaze" (+10 AP, -2DT), and "Small frame" (Aglity +1, fragile limbs).

Looking through the list again, I don't think there are any others that I would choose (apart from 'wild wasteland' maybe...). Certainly I'm glad that I took the Kamikaze option... there are plenty of ways to improve DT, but bumps to AP are hard to come by (doesn't increase with level, so you only really have the action boy perks, or the tiny bump you get from increasing agility).

pop jet? :p

# Taking this trait effectively lowers your base Perception by 1 point when attempting to qualify for perks. This means the player must have a base perception of 7 to qualify for all perception based perks (except Infiltrator which requires 8 instead of the usual 7 due to the -1). This can be achieved by taking perception 7 at creation, or perception 6 with Intense Training or an implant added later to boost it to 7.

# Wearing glasses with this trait will actually raise perception by +2 as seen in the pip-boy display, thereby nullifying the -1 in terms of accuracy benefits, compass benefits and skill benefits (though not the damage to base perception, thus requiring the player have 1 more point of permanent perception to take an associated perk). Perception 7 at creation, with this perk (glasses equipped), Intense Training +1 or an implant and a +1 perception hat will still total 10 perception.

Oh ffs - it seems like I've hit a bug whereby the BoS are still on lockdown despite me doing all the missions. I've just checked and the mission where you have to plant the bug at Blackrock (?) is saying it's incomplete, but I can't do it. Not to mention I did plant the bug, returned to McNamara, and he gave me the power armour training etc.

I've been waiting all game to get the BoS to join with the NCR at the end. I've probably played 20+ hours since that mission. RAAAAAAGE.

can you complete the quest for the other guy (replace current elder) and see if that fixes it?

Doesn't look like it :( When I speak to him he's got the dialogue options from before the 'Eyesight to the Blind' quest, where you ask him what he'll do as Elder, and he says lift the lockdown...

I'm going to try to see if there's a way to complete the mission using the console - do you know any place that might list how to do it?

Can anyone confirm at what point you get the NCR and BoS to work together? I'm guessing this was the patch that caused this - some other weirdness took place whereby the Victor I killed in Novac disappeared.

*cries like only a sad geek can*

Just got some remnant power armour and a gatling laser, converted all my microfusion and regular energy cells into electron charge ammo, I have over a thousand rounds for it now :) I've got a super sledge as my melee and a recharger pistol as a side arm.

I'm a bit dissapointed though, I'm only level 13 at the moment and I'm basically sorted now for equipment.

I haven't found it yet for £14...I want to get it for someone for Christmas.

Me too, I saw from another post you've found it out of stock, could you hint at the site? :p

To be fair though OcUK's competitor policy has changed now so you're allowed to mention games and such.
