Far Cry 4 due this November

I love this game, love the way things fly in all directions when they explode, especially when I inflict death from the air with my 40mm hand cannon :)

Since installing the latest beta Nvidia drivers the game does crash now usually after playing for about 40 mins which can be a total pain if on a mission, (NOOOO Not that cutscene again!!!)

All other games seem okay, going to go back to the previous drivers as I never had any issues, well except the usual ones of course :)

Not played it a few days, crashed twice in the same place for me. The mission to open the North area of the map. I think driving long distances quickly is the best way to make this game crash.

Just opened uPlay for a 2nd FC4 session of the day and I've been prompted to install a 1.3GB patch. Appears to be patch 1.6.0 but can't find a changelog. Just a thread about it breaking someone's game.

That wasn't there when I posted the thread otherwise I would have added that. :) I just wanted to show some proof of a new patch being out.

not crashed once:confused:
Crashes for me pretty much every single time I play. Had been playing for about an hour when my PC just blanked. Screens went black and even a double restart wouldn't fix it. I had to turn PC off and back on again to get anything on the screens again!

I'm uploading a 1.6 Patch video at the moment. On my rig, even using "low" settings which I showcase in the video I still get massive FPS drops.

It can go from 90 FPS to 30 FPS in a split second.

Not impressed at all.

Doesn't sound good. I'll find out later when I play it. To be honest the game plays great 95% the time for me. Solid 60FPS, with only a few stutters. However sometimes the shadows go backwards it seems, and when looking up (like to use grapple hook) there is massive lag. Also the crashing on Keys To The North Mission.

I think the crashing is from driving too far too fast.

50 minutes and didn't crash, managed to complete the mission where I had crashed twice in the same place. So good patch for me.

Now just this stupid Bell Tower with big long jump :).

What app are you using to measure the RAM FC4 is taking up?

From reading around the internet it seems only people with 8Gb or less are having low memory crashes. I've monitored usage and seen total committed memory peaking at over 8Gb when playing for a few hours.
More and more reason for me to get 16GB with my new PC then. :p
