Far Cry 6

Finished this.

60 hours, doing everything.

It is way too long. I enjoyed it a lot first 30-40 hours, but then I wanted it to be over.
Some stuff is great improvement over FC5/ND - finally my protagonist spoke again and was actually quite likeable. Finally nice (though ridiculous) healing animations are back. Finally dynamic weather is back.
Sidemissions and treasure hunts were almost all great, handcrafted, creative. Main missions were mostly good too. Yara is quite beautiful.

The copypasted checkpoints and bases...not so great. Or millions useless collectibles. And yeah, it is still too much Ubisoft: The Game.

I wish it had some kind of survival mode (no I haven’t played Primal yet) that would focus on immersion, eliminate most HUD and made surviving and building the Libertad organization hard and challenging process. That would make ammo a precious commodity. That would make every weapon upgrade and car upgrade meaningful. That would make vehicles use gasoline so finding gasoline would actually be useful. That would force me to sleep/eat/drink or suffer consequences. That would limit healing possibilities and made the buffs you can unlock actually useful. Etc etc.

It was just too easy, casual, arcadey with meaningless progressions systems. And then there is the cringe woke nonsense to boot.

And this is from someone who was defending the game and saying it was awesome as I recall :p:D

Excellent summation. Im 44hrs in and not far over 50%. The checkpoints and even the AA guns do get tiring.

My interpretation @TNA was that this game (and ones before) were always mindless fun not to be taken too seriously. I have not played 1,2,3,4,5 so that is good to hear but to showcase a current gen GPU and the game was free, not complaining. Could have been worse and bought CP!

;)

As I said, I had great fun with it for good 30-40 hours. At that point it was my favourite FC since FC2.
But Ubisoft just had to bloat the game to a point where it overstays its welcome. Same problem as with their AC games.

And I do wish they would make their games more hardcore and less casual for sure.

Could have been worse and bought CP!

I played FC6 for 60 hours and was eager for it to be over after 40.
I played Cyberpunk 2077 for 160 hours and didn't want it to end. I enjoyed it vastly more (highend PC version).

@TNA already gave me a good write up after he finished the game (posted it on these forums!). I'm sure he will vouch for you that I am not a CP hater but nevertheless forcing people to buy it for an internet forum comparison argument ranks rather low in my budget reasons. :D

If you value internet garbage sites ranking games for accuracy then I think you may need some help IRL.

For example:

Personally I would rate MIB as pretty average. Judging by the internet its a fantastic watch and I need to go see it!

To be fair with meta critic it is not just people, but reviews too. And to be honest based on what I have seen I would take CP2077 over FC6 anyday.

My point being just because the site rates it - and with that how vetted are these votes, can you double vote/use another account lol; doesn't mean to say I am going to like it or rate it that highly! In fact sometimes a friend recommends a film and after you score it half of what the mate said - isn't that right @TNA ? :p

Its also disproportionate as one clearly has had 539k views logged and the other only 5.9k but that shows maybe not enough have watched it to get an accurate sample? Just like the CP vs FC6 'score'. :)

Anyway:
;)

Yeah true, but let’s not get side tracked by that. More importantly:

I played FC6 for 60 hours and was eager for it to be over after 40.
I played Cyberpunk 2077 for 160 hours and didn't want it to end. I enjoyed it vastly more (highend PC version).

:p:cry::D

I would be surprised if you don’t end up enjoying CP2077 more to be honest.

I dont know why this stereotype exists though. For a start I am posting in farcry threads as I got the game the other day, secondly I cant play said game as I have said before parrot fashion I will pick it up soonish (but not if the demographic based on here is anything to go by) so cant recall saying anything negative about it till farcry threads where imposed comparisons seem to bring it to the foray. Lastly the game was panned for its glitches and bugs so I decided I would wait as long as possible so when I do get it there should be a seamless experience and I can get a chubber on?

Easy there Th0ntmister. I think your are overthinking all this :)

You know I quoted him right? So if he is some big Cyberpunk hater about to launch a tirade about how terrible it is because I dared to enjoy it, he already received a notification ;)

;) Some (not Paul cz) say they don't mention the game or didn't bring it up and then that's all they post about though. Price is much better on keys sites its only a matter of time. Till then still playing game in OP. :p

I still think you are overthinking all this. Unless I am imagining it you have either tagged me or mentioned me multiple times when CP2077 comes up, pretty sure one or two were in the other far cry thread. I could be imagining things though as I do sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep so I pick up the iPad. At any rate, no big deal, was just pulling your leg, sorry if I got it wrong on this occasion.
