I really need to stop trying to 'invest' in players that are likely to get an inform.
I bougth a load of Kevin De Bruyne's on Xbox for 2.1k each, now they're going for much less than that. I'm terrible at this, I'll never make money trading.

It's a bit of a lottery trying to predict the market at times but I would say that De Bruyne would've been hard to have made much of a profit on anyway as he's relatively cheap and there looks to be a plentiful supply of him already.
Use futbin.com to check prices. The graphs (daily + hourly) are pretty useful to spot trends. For example the market has been flooded with a lot of cards over the past 12 hours due to EA releasing 10k coin packs. It looks like a lot of prices have dropped by 10% or so and will possibly go back up soon although it really depends on what this weeks TOTW is like I guess.
Don't take this as gospel as I am liable to be wrong
What makes you think that De Bruyne is going to get IF?

I'm sure I told you before but forget trading, play the game, earn coins from seasons bonus. You can get 10K easily per season. 10 seasons = 100K.
Buy as many gold managers as possible to boost contracts (means your profit from games is higher).
Once you have 200K spare, invest in IF players that are in demand (not crappy 10K IF's but ones that cost 25K minimum), keep them for 4-6 weeks then sell them.
Trading is a lot easier if you have 200K+ to play with. it's so boring when you have little coins it's not even worth doing. I would rather play the game than be looking for bargains all day long.
I currently have IF Jagielka which I will be selling in a month or so for a nice profit.

playing the market can be risky and your proving to be having a complete nightmare.The certain ones who will be getting an inform will increase 80% of the time but still a gamble.
I got Willian last night and that sweaty 93 pace Russian league guy, Doubai or something? I'm trying Willian instead of Navas as I just find Navas is never there for my play style, I loved Willian last year, I preferred him to SIF Hazard so hopefully I get on with him in this years FIFA.

Someone on Reddit said he got 2 goals and an assist, but for the life of me I can't find out whether he did or not now. NO wonder I've lost money!

You may have noticed that the first post-launch title update for FIFA 15 is now available on the PS4.
This update addresses issues that you, the FIFA community, have brought to our attention and includes the following:
• Fixed ‘search-by-name’ functionality in Career Mode.
• Added the latency indicator to FIFA 15 Ultimate Team so fans can view health of connection before entering an online match.
• Improved set-piece cameras in Online Seasons for Guest players.
• Corrected home crowds in Match Day Live matches.
• Fixed occurrences where the player would be unable to progress at the end of a FUT match due to the post-match menus not appearing.
• Fix to hospitality upgrades in Career Mode and Pro Clubs.
• Addressed exploit where players could infinitely switch kick-takers on set-pieces
• Fixed occurrence where changes to the Subs and/or Reserves are not brought into Season matches

He did playing for Belgium, but it was against Andorra so I'm not sure how much weight that will carry.
Enjoying FIFA 15 so far this year!
My current squad is really banging the goals in but not so great defensively but doesn't seem to matter if I let 3 in I can score 5/6!
