My dissertation was due in February lol.
Max. word count was 15,000 words, mine was 14972 words exactly (48 pages).
My self-chosen topic was: The war of 1864 and how it has affected Danish nationalism.
Really enjoyed writing mine as I gathered soldiers letters from the war alongside civilian accounts of the war.

Thats a monster project kai - hope it goes well for you. Got a while to do mine yet - 40 pages limit (excluding appendices/references etc), and 1.5 line spaced which cuts down on the words a bit! Project title: Simulating the Action Potential of the Brain. Mostly just hour after hour of tedious data analysis!

My dissertation is basically the impacts of computer gaming on society, only started it yesterday but it isn't due in till 5th may and has a word limit of 8k so not worried at all about getting it finished in time.

Just getting started on my 15000 word limit project:

Trust in ad hoc networks: To certify or not to certify a node

Just this second finished programming, a week later than scheduled due to a few bugs :(

Its in for the 7th May, but im going to try and get it finished in the remainder of my east break (13 days left :()

Wish me luck!

Do you honestly think having a 33k word appendicies was time well spent?!

Considering that major parts of my appendices were my results, which were qualitative and quantitative, I honestly do.

Without comprehensive results I would not have been able to make a justifiable and useful conclusion to my project and future research.

I did a design project for a piece of sports equipment for my final year's submission, it was a 9k wordcount over 65 pages plus a 29 page A3 folio and got a first class grading, wordcount is nothing. Still got a 2.1 though my other stuff was pants :p

same i done qualitative, quantitative & Illuminative Model.

Can't remember exactly, but I would say about £70 for both of them (printing and binding).

While ours wont look as nice as yours, we invested in a £15 comb binder, it came with enough stuff to ensure everyone in my house has the ability to bind 2 copies, and cost next to nothing.

Though I will admit I do not look foward to spending however long punching holes and binding!

Jcb33.
