So I've been updating the dark theme a little more tonight, tweaked a few things I've been wanting to fix for a while and also added a lot of new nicer looking icons around the place (including new stars):

Urgh. Mozilla hasn't 'released' anything. It's a nightly build reflecting the current source code - they happen every single day, whether there are changes or not. The servers auto-generate them.
Another tech site talking out of its backside. Why don't these so-called 'journalists' understand the basic workings of software development?

It's DirectWrite. IE9 also has a similar kind of issue. MS did release an update which hasn't helped everyone. Mine is fine on webpages but bookmark menu fonts are slightly less dark - So not really a bother
I think ATI gpu users suffer the worst though.

c'mon boys Khaaan! tells you how on like the third page or so. Turn of hardware acceleration.
Worked for me anyways, not ideal I know but hopefully it'll only be a temporary thing until they fix it. If you've tried that dunno
That seems to have the opposite effect for me
If I leave it unticked then I get blurry vision!It's on there now, also added some options to the style too.

When you make updates to the script does it automatically update in styleish, or do we manually have to check the page every so often?

I do belive however that removeing the check for update feature, is not good, for the general user.
A non techy person, is not going to guess that clicking on the about menue option is potentially going to engage the auto check for update feature..

Updates will show in your addons tab, however the update options don't work 100% with styles that have optional features on the site =/
Is the max-width option worth the hassle?

that's what i remember being said about 3.0 compared to 2.x
can't imagine getting much faster on a decent well maintained pc but i'm sure that'll be what's said with the next version

Well from what I'v experienced on my aged P4 Win xp pc, websites which I thought where slow, where just Firefox 3.6 being slow.
Now, things load much faster.
Try it, and your definetly notice the speed bump.
Personally i change it anyway.
EDIT: Just updated, Now i have black text on a black background.

i'm on it now and have been since release a couple days ago. notice no real difference to the point that i'd tell anyone you got to get ff4 as it's much faster, however in 5 months time apparently this version will now be slow and i need the new version.
