Something like that plus storage there is 1099 a year Inc using the slip.

Eventrude went out of business.

It's like the albatross of the new boat buyer.. well more like buyer beware. You' quickly be looking at 6-7K for a new outboard.

There's an outboard guide on WSF.. I remember someone slating Eventrude being one of those engines that if it's working good but it's a serious issue of something breaks.

Definitely up for a next time out..

im thinking 2-3 weeks time, weather and tide time will dictate whens best to go so itl be a bit of a last minute decision (~2 days notice and will be midweek), probably go to the Marina again but over on the east wall instead,
same thing will apply.. if i go il be going anyway so i wont need fuel money and its np picking you up en-route

yeah il be up for some of that, i wont need much notice so you can decide what dates best for you nearer the time
il probably take the oppertunity to stock up on some frozen/salted lug from anglers den, allways done well on their lug and its cheap compaired to most other shops

It looks like Eventrude was bought by Bombardier, so they have a large company behind them - just need to be careful on buying a model that has service parts available.

Sat 29th August or Sat September 12th all look good. Spring tides with h/t around midnight. Spooky no moon. The fish will be jumping into your bucket.

This is where my limitations come in - not sure I have the equipment for over night (thinking keeping warm, etc), also I'm not casting the distance required for beach atm (uptide is 9'6 and was reaching the limit of the reel) - although certainly up for daylight rocks with the spinning rod and untidier for close.

Fancy a night fish? Looking at a Thursday or Friday night on Normans Bay. The bay is easy you can park at the top of the beach and there's not a great deal of traffic or general public.

i was considering this, but XCweather forcast isnt too favorable for Normans bay atm :/

i'l be up for going in a few weeks though

EDIT: latest forcast looks even worse, even more rain for thursday and even stronger wind for friday :o

I won't go unless I can keep properly warm. This time of year is okay. Overnights of 15 ish. Double socks double pants shorts and trousers two tshirts hoodie coat gloves hat and a snood.

I've got a beach shelter which keeps you out the wind as well. A chair to keep you off the pebbles and trainers. I'm not that far progressed to a floatation suit yet.

One person needs to bring something to brew up on and maybe a bag of logs for a fire. Job done.

could have fished holding a hook in the air today..

Was talking to a mate today - he's interested in a night trip on the brighton marina wall. Asked him about beach and he prefers harbour/boats..
