What's a decent spec for FM these days? I've ran it on a Haswell 2.3 Ghz i7 laptop for the last few versions and it was ok, but I'm considering streaming it from the PC in my signature. Seasons seem to take a while.

I never bothered using a new face pack for FM2016 I just copied my FM2015 folder so I'll need to update them this time around. Does anyone know of a torrent or full pack of the latest 8.09 "Cut-out Player Faces Megapack"? They only release the base version then you have to use ****** filehosting sites to download 10 updates which would take weeks to finish...

Edit: looks like they've been working on an FM17 pack already so hopefully that will be all up to date in one pack

In-game, players of Football Manager 2017 will be alerted at some point between two and 10 years in that trade negotiations have begun, and a year later a news bulletin will detail the extent of Brexit. There are three main scenarios:

Soft Brexit - free movement of workers remains.

Footballers are granted the same special exemptions that are currently given to ‘entertainers’. This means it is easier for them to obtain work permits than other people, and it will not have a huge impact on player movement from the EU.

Hard Brexit: similar rules to those which currently apply to non-EU players are adopted for all non-UK players.

Sega/SI have intentionally limited suppliers this year to keep prices up.

Those who heavily discount on pre-orders are not selling the game in the UK.

Really? I find that hard to believe. I was St.Johnstone and got a great youth player through even after my 1st season in charge. Give him his 1st app when he was 16, brought him on for the last 7 mins of a derby v Dundee and he set a goal up.

He turned into a class playmaker.

My scouts were all good (18-19 PA) and rated then 2/3*.My team had quite some high PA, so the regens had a lot to live up to.

It was a great save. Very fun with a bunch of players with high PA. The problem was that after 1 season everyone wants to bloody leave.

Did you not look at the stats though? I find the rating system to be a bit off tbh. I've had regens originally at 3 stars who've i've turned into 4/5 star players because i saw potential and trained them and added ppm's to their game.

I used to look at them briefly and nothing really popped out. I get what you mean though. I used to find some good looking regens in Brazil/Argentina which scouts rated as 3* but looked quite good so I got them anyway. The annoying thing is having them wait until they are 18 for a transfer and then they fail to get the work permit

Four games into the Championship season with Newcastle and I've got three 1-1 draws. I feel like Villa

One welcome change I've noticed so far is that players seem much more likely to cross rather than shoot from a narrow angle. I've scored a couple of tap-ins that I suspect last year would have ended in a shot into the side netting and me shouting "PASS, YOU STUPID ****" at my screen.
