The price doesn not reward anyone they put it up then say well we are giving discount for this or that no they are bringing it back to what it was before (these games used to be £20 now it's £40) no competition is a big problem.
Name a franchise that the price hasn't increased with over time. Mass Effect, COD, Battlefield, Far Cry, Assassins Creed - every new release the price creeps up or there's some gimmicky 'ultimate edition' for triple the price. FM @ £34.99 is more than acceptable as it's fan base will outplay any hours sunk into any of those franchises for a fraction of the cost
The fanboys for these games really can't see the big picture.
What exactly is the 'big picture'? Fanboys paying £20/35 on a game that even a casual player will likely get 2/300 hours out of whilst SI games makes a load of money? The only big picture is dev makes game, consumer buys game, dev makes money, repeat. No different to any other game, franchise, software or product in the world
Anyway. been looking forward to this for a while and the reveal had quite a few minor changes I've wanted for a long time. The main one (albeit a small one) is being able to take over a new club at the end of the season instead of jumping ship mid way through a promotion campaign.
Hopefully the AI is genuinely improved from a GK / Def perspective and the graphics reflect the actions of the defender (ie no more ice skating etc).
Genuinely think they have taken on board a lot more from the player base than they have since FM11 - FM12, time will tell how much of an impact the changes have on overall gameplay but hopefully this is the next FM12.
Looking forward to the Beta but I think it's going to clash with CIV 6 this Friday
