Folding@Home Weekly Team News - 6th July 2006

I've been added to the beta team now :)

How do I tell if I'm running a beta WU (I've got the clients set up correctly for them). Does it say in FahMon or something?

Woot! I've made it to 200000:) shame there isn't a stanford tiffy for that
Unfortunately my rigs will be **f for the weekend as I'm away and I daren't leave them unattended with the windows shut at the moment:( real shame as I've just started an 1164 for 574 points and a 2106 for 202 points, good wuage for next week:D

i'm new to all this folding type stuff and see people saying that 56 points are bad, 256 points good and so on, can someone point me in the direction of or explain what all this point stuff is about. ( it was so simple with those cobblestoneyrock things :D )

I started to write a in-depth response but decided that I couldn't do a much better job that the official boys at Stanford.

Let me know if you have any more questions or if I can clairfy anything.

EDIT: Zefan, you won't be on the list unless you tell Rich that you want to be. I imagine he'll read this now and add you. ;)

I only use a single core machine, yet I'm not on the single core/machine list
If you already mentioned it earlier in the week then apologies as it's been a bit of a 'mare with too many people off at work at the same time :o

If you've not asked to be added then I won't have added you automatically - but like Billy said I can do that for you now, I can also add you to yesterday's news post if you like :)
