[ Folding ] We only need 13,000ppd more to start catching ABXzone

Glad it all works, and got to you in one piece :)

Yes many thanks, the Q6600 has been working its way through some rosetta WUs, going to try the SMP client now. I'll probably save overclocking for another time, don't want too much excitement in one day! :p

Wish i had a floppy port on my mobo so i could flash the bios's on my GTX's already made the bios up for them both :(

Flash from a usb stick? Fairly easy to set one up to run nvflash from. Loads better than software overclocking in my opinion (dislike overclocking through driver with dual boot).

I miss my old 280gtx. Can't clock my 8800 over 725 core without stability vanishing, and its hitting 1350ppd at present.

Anyone know the reason for the yellow tag here?

I assume it's because one core seems to be lagging behind, but I have no idea why, as the processor isn't being used for anything else!

Any suggestions?

I get that with my GPUs every now and then, I just refresh it and it normally goes away again.

From FAHMON site:-

Orange/Yellow The client seems to be inactive or in an unknown state. The former happens most of the time when the elapsed time since the last completed frame is too high (this happens if another process is using the processor). An unknown state occurs when FahMon does not have sufficient information to decide whether the client is running or not. Check the Messages Window to find out what is happening.

lol... time was wrong on the machine. I thought I'd checked that! One of the cores is still seriously lagging behind though, I'll just leave it and maybe it will sort itself out.

Cheers Happy.

EDIT:

Due to wifi problems I'm down to one GTX as my USB wifi dongle has committed suicide so i took one card out and stuck my old pci-e wifi card till i can sort this out, seems like one problem after another :( and i'm not going to run a cable though the gaff :)

:D

It's ok now it's winter, both windows wide open. But in the summer I was so hot with just my main rig with a 18" floor fan :p

Just added 2800ppd with hd 4890.

I now just have 3 cores free. Am about to create a virtual ubuntu environment. Should I use 32bit or 64bit?

I just switched over to F@H for a little while.......

Just to see what kind of output I could get with:

Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz & 3 x GTX260's @ 702/1512/1080

Should be Fun :D

What should I be expecting?

How much time a day is the rig on for, and how are you folding on the CPU. Flatout and using a two Linux virtual machines (two cores each) you would be good for around 26-30K PPD :D

Nice to see you on F@H for a while :)
