**Football 19th-22nd March** 2010/2011

Liverpool 11: Reina, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Spearing, Lucas, Meireles, Kuyt, Suarez, Carroll.

On paper it looks like a 4-3-3 but I suspect we'll set up similar to how we did against Utd with Meireles playing from the right but with the freedom interchange with Kuyt and Suarez.

I think you may be correct, going to be interesting to see how Suarez and Carroll play together.

Edited to remove comment about Agger, read elsewhere he was not playing....

He's not but he's better than Poulsen.

I suspect he'll be off in the summer. He'll make a career for himself at a bottom end Prem side though.

Spearing still has time, he works hard and has the ability to pick a good pass. However, he does seem to lack the ability to stamp his authority on a game and can easily go missing....

It wouldn't take that much of a turn around considering in the previous 7 games Utd HAVE lost two more than Chelsea already. Utd 7 played, 4 wins, 3 losses, Chelsea, 5 wins 1 draw 1 loss, but thats only a 4 point gain.
.

They also drew away to Fulham and lost at home to Liverpool

One match is comarable to one of our losses (even though they were at home and both of ours away - and one of which relied on dodgy reffing for them to beat Utd in the first place)

2nd they wont get such favourable reffing in every game either

3rd - why only consider the last 7 games - ohhh because thats what fits into your theory, any more and suddenly it comes back into Utd's favour . So its just as likely that Utd have had a bad blip of form temporarily (while playing our fiercest rivals away) while Chelsea had a run of easier games at home and still dropped points

For my own sanity I won't read through this thread but I think the Evans sending off was a little harsh, both went into the tackle whole heartedly and it was only Evans getting there slightly earlier which saw him win the ball and then ultimately follow through on Holden, had he not Holden could have easily gone through on Evans instead. I guess though when the ref saw the damage done to Holden he was left with very little choice but to send Evans off - shame Dowd didn't do the same at Anfield.

It obviously wasn't no where near as bad as Carrghers on Nani nor Gerrards on Carrick but let's not let those facts get in the way of the usual anti united perspective.
