**Football 19th-22nd March** 2010/2011

I thought the foul was outside the area, Spearing was just clever and went down in the box.

Liverpool have seen a lot less of the ball, but done infinitely more with it then Sunderland.

Also, how shocking is Andy Carroll? Absolutely horrible debut games.

Brilliant commentating. 'Liverpool have already conceded more goals than they did last season'. How about telling the viewers most of those goals were scored against us while muppet was in charge of us

Sky? I often watch with the sound off, they talk so much ****e....Surprised they don't have the expert pundit Paul Merson involved actually...

Aye, he's not been great. Seems to have the touch of Lee Chapman, gotta be given time though.

Payback? How?

That was your own fan who threw it on the pitch. And your own keeper that confused it for the real ball!

Because the Referee cocked up and didn't know the rules, the referee here hasn't really cocked up and has just had a hard decision to make and got it wrong.

I'll take another dubious decision and a Suarez handball of the line please.

Ref should've stopped play

Yes, but the referee made a mistake, and should have stopped the game.

Ah, thought you were implying it was Sunderland's fault.

To be fair I think it was Reina's fault, there's a beach ball in front of him he should have knocked it out of play like most keepers tidy their area (ticker tap, bog roll, used bog roll etc.).

Irrespective of whether it was a hard decision or not, he got it wrong - a **** up nonetheless no? ;)

Carroll has been woeful, but he played decent at Newcastle just hope he isn't affected by his price tag, but has been out 3 months in fairness.

There was build up play coming towards us and hadn't he already kicked it out once and it rolled back on due to the wind? Doubt he'll get out of position when sunderland have the ball on our half way line. Saying it is Reina's fault is ridiculous, it is the refs for not knowing the rules.

Not sure why people are making out that the pen was a terrible call. It was so close that it's still hard to be certain from the replays (if you actually try and see where contact is made rather than where the Sunderland player slides from) and with the momentum carrying the players into the area.

It was probably slightly outside the box but it's an incredible hard call for the officials. I might not have said the same thing had it gone against us though :p

He did. It blew back onto the pitch just as Sunderland were attacking so he couldn't kick it out again.

And Eidur has called the pen spot on. Spearing has gone down from the contact on his trailing leg which is such a close call.
