** Football 21/22 April ** *spoilers*

The quotes are dodgy though. Zidane's for example, he has to name someone other than himself (unless you're Ronaldo) as the best midfielder, when he is himself the best. :p

Shearer was the best English player of that era as well to be honest. ;)

I hope Utd **** it up tonight, but why are people so hooked on the fact Utd will win the league now? They are more than capable of winning granted, but they are also capable of losing points just like we did last night.

I think united will easily lose two more games this season. Its certainly not over yet.

I'd be curious to know what united fans would rather win, the league again or the Champions league?

Because as it stands two games in hand.

Not only two games in hand but it's two home games also. I think Arsenal is our second to last game, so hopefully we'll have wrapped it up by then. The rest of the games are there for us to take, but knowing United, there'll be points dropped when we least suspect it :D

I'd go with the Premiership myself, especially since this one gives us the 18 to match Liverpool.

Yeah that's what I was wondering, a friend of mine said he'd rather back to back CL as that supposedly is what the greatest teams do.

I'd argue that back to back premier leagues makes a better team.

League, Champions League would be a bonus.

I personally think the Champions League is Barca's.
United will probably win all of the games left, except maybe Arsenal.

Carragher is easily your best CB, it's not even close. He's one of the best defenders in the league. As much as it pains me, I'd take him at United in a shot.

While I agree he's Liverpool's best defender, I kinda of agree with him being one of the better defenders in the League.

Wouldn't have him at United, not because of who he is, just because he's getting on and won't be able to turn out the kind of performances he's known for doing.

At most, two seasons left in him, I'd say he only has next season really.
Liverpool's other center backs don't have **** on an in form Carragher.

Definitely agree with you mate. Since the Premiership started I think only Man U and Chelsea have retained the title.

Champions League would be great, but like Tummy said, it'd be icing on the already moist cake :D

6 goals and 4 assists from midfield in 8 games, for someone who's played only in Russia their whole career you're absolutely mad for criticising him.

How the **** has he only played 8 games since he arrived

I wasnt criticizing him - I was just expecting him to be on the chart for top scorers in the league on last night's form , and he hadnt even got the 9 the lowest person currently has, I was just surprised that was all

I meant league games. He's nearly scored as many as Berbatov all season.

Utd have already done back to back League titles - so why does making it three in a row mean its so much better?

The league is important so we are equal with the scousers for total league titles - but I would really love to win the CL back to back, cant decide

If Chelsea where able to eclipse Liverpool and win the League (even domestic double) then Utd for the CL without a doubt - I would just hate to lose the EPL to Liverpool lol

Ahead of Scholes' 600th Man Utd appearance tonight some quotes regarding him:

LOL those are some funny quotes tbh, wonder how much they were paid to spout off those quotes.

Sure Scholes is a good player, a trooper if you like but calling him the best Premiership player is a bit silly. Honestly if he was that good then why have no other teams like Real Madrid, Barca, AC Milan...you know the big players in the footie transfer market have never made an approach for him??. Didnt Fergie say a few days ago that no team has ever made an approach for the ginger nut??:p.

I suppose because on here when Liverpool won the CL and then made the final most people said it was much harder to win a premiership title than a league title. Surely that still stands, so to be the best you would rather win the league than a CL final?

Put it this way then

Win the CL and Liverpool win the title or Win the Premier league and Arsenal/Chelsea win the CL ;)

I just want to make sure before it all plays out this time which is the most important to the fans ;)
