Football Manager 2006 hints and tips needed

Ahh I just remembered Palacio! - I bought him for Charlton and he was banging em in neally every game.

I've won 2 trophys out of 5 so far this season. The Community Shield (3-2 vs Chelsea) and the Carling Cup (6-2 vs Liverpool :cool:..

I'm still in the Champions league knockout stages, Still can win the title and the FA Cup! :D

One thing I hate about this game is that when you are leading the table (I was by 7/8 points) the game blatently makes you lose matches. Anyone else notice this? or is it just me :confused:
 
End of the second season: Won the Euro cup for the second year in a row, got to the final of the FA cup but Chelsea outplayed me quite comprehensively.
Only got to 7th in the league so I'm underperforming a bit :(

I agree, I just wish I could find a bigger picture for the background. Running FM06 on 1280x1024 makes the 1024x768 pic look quite distorted. I haven't been able to find a decent footie related pic anywhere. Dunno if I want a generic pic or a Man Utd pic though.

Any ideas?

Thats my Crystal Palace team 4 years in, full of young prospects and Rafinha and Orabona are the two best players on the game.

I won premiership and Uefa last season and in the champions league so far this season have won every game. Bad start in the premiership though, lost the first two games due to the blooming olympics stealing half my squad... (Rafinha, Roncatto, Orabona, Aguilar, Ghezzi) and quite a few of my other first team starters were injured. Ended up starting with half my youth team. :(

Back on track now though, however I have the problem of having too many great players - I want a formation that accomodates them all!

Whoa! :eek:What club is that with? And over what time span? Wouldn't mind being able to get Rafinha for £8.5m and Messi for £7m. Both are worth quite a lot more than that in my game at the moment though.:(

I sold Roncatto for £50m soon after buying him, to chelsea.

£50m over 24 months, and 30% next sale..

tip: always do that if Chelsea are interested in your talents, they go for everyone. :p
 
Well, thats what they are worth. I bought Rafinha for 16million in actual fact, I knew in a season or two (telling from his stats) that he was gunna be a god, so I sold Andy Jonson on the cheap so I could get him while he was still relatively inexpensive. Messi was bought for 12million as cover, Bastos, Babel and Roncatto are just too good.
 
I got a great striker the other day is unstoppable won the golden boot , got a new goals scored in a season for newcastle and won players player of the year all in his first sesaon playing for me. check him out Mirko Vucinic

Chelsea offered me over 40m each for four of my players, Orabona, Bricchi, Roncatto and Ghezzi, within a week. I rejected all four as I can't get anyone better for the money.

Only player I really want is Ibrahimovich, but he is worth too much. :(

I would have accepted without even thinking about it! It really annoys me when Chelsea go for all the good talents with ridiculously high offers. Me and my mate are on a mission to make them go bankcrupt :p - Thought I doubt its possible come to think of it?
