Football manager 2016

So, relegated at Sheff Wednesday, as expected. Immediately i had 4/5 players from first team saying they wanted to leave for bigger things. I was then going to the gym (IRL) so i went on holiday and left it to sim just to see what would happen. Came back two years later with the intention of re-loading and continuing in championship with Sheff Wed. During sim had been sacked 1 year previously and the Inter Milan job was available. So, i'm now at Inter :p

Spent £130m in first transfer window :o

At Man Utd in late 2016 and looking for a backup DL for Shaw. Blind is still here but his pace is now down to 9 having fallen from 11. He's had 4 months out injured with knee tendonitis twice! I guess this is why he's getting slower even though he's only 26.

Got an £8m bid for Hull's Andrew Robertson accepted and about to sign him if there are no suggestions for a backup DL. Robertson is happy to be a backup player which is what I want. I know of a few players who would rival Shaw for a first team place.

Bit of helps needed chaps.

Haven't played much recently only 4 games into the second season of my Wimbledon save (w2,d1,l1) but I'm suddenly getting a load of complaints that my tactical training isn't good enough and players complaining they aren't getting enough attention during tactical training. Anyone ever had this before? No idea how to deal with the problem.

How many coaches do you have across the board? If the workload for any coaching area is less than light it might explain the not enough attention bit.

As for it not being good enough what stars do you have for tactical coaching? I'm guessing you'd need 4* for Wimbledon?

Make sure one of your coaches is a competent tactical coach. Make sure team training is set to low/balanced and make sure your individual training is working for players.

I'm playing with Peterborough in one of my saves. In a bit of a surprise result I have got them promoted in the first season, which was nice.

What I have also discovered, is that young talent, and by young I mean 14-17 year olds for the future, are generally dirt cheap at this level (Champs). When you hit the BPL the talent increases exponentially in price. I've managed to scout half a dozen future prospects, and have just bought 3 for less than £300,000 all in. They are likely to be extremely good players in my experience, possibly world class with the right training/game time. The youngest is a 14 year old Serbian and he has a lot of potential. All of them will require work permits however, so I won't be able to play them for many seasons, but that is the whole point of buying young. I've recently found a Belgian feeder club and although the game is much harder now in that respect it also handles its feeders better. I should be able to get them all permits within just 2 seasons which is excellent. So by aged 19 or so I could have some real talent in my squad. Even if these players do not work out as I think they might, I can sell them on for a massive profit in a few years. But fingers crossed, they meet all the criteria of world class in my past experience.

I've found the same re youngsters. Spending half an hour or so trawling through national U19/U21 sides has never been so profitable.

Robertson is a good shout for a backup DL, turns into quite a good player actually. Kenny Tete is another good shout as a DR backup as well ;)

My son is after this, where is the best place to buy?
Argos have a DVD version for £20, but we dont have have a dvd drive.
Can i use the code to activate a steam version?

edit, it appears that the code has to be activated through steam, so it will work

Season 3 with Crewe (still in League One). Thought some decent signings had made the difference - picked up Billy Sharp to lead the line and Aidan White at FB (a weak spot).

Started so well, then turned into a utter dogs dinner...

Folks, I want to get into FM2016, where can I get this for a good price? (I previously saw some FCs doing them for less than £20?)

I never saw a key price under £25 so I just got it for £26 in the steam sale yesterday.

god the UI they use these days is so damn fugly. Where's all the lovely crisp high res stuff, it looks like a dogs dinner. Bring back the old days where you had high res stadiums of where you were playing each matchday and lovely looking panels. Must be some decent skin packs out there to use.

I bought this last week and have already put about 30+ hours into it, I'm hooked again! In a weird way I kind of regret buying it. Oh well.

Started as Brighton, came 2nd in my first season so I got automatic promotion to the Premier League.

I'm currently 1 point off the relegation zone about 17 games into the season. It's been weird though, my main problem is I am leaking goals, but I've been able to score in most of the games I play. I beat Man United 1-0 which was good, but I've lost some games against teams below me that I really should have won.

I'm going to change up my tactics and see if that helps.

I'm also about £140k/week over my wage budget due to some stupid signings and contract renewals. I signed Joe Cole on a free transfer on a ridiculous 3 year contract, he's useless. I have no idea why I did 3 years, deseprately trying to offload him.

I also had Del Pierro for a short while but I managed to sell him on after only 6 games because he was also useless. Not sure why I thought a 41 year old would be able to handle the Premier League.

All of them will require work permits however, so I won't be able to play them for many seasons, but that is the whole point of buying young. I bought in a young winger from Paraguay, Sergio Diaz is his name. I've read online that he becomes world class. He didn't have a work permit though but the transfer still went through. I tried to get a Belgian feeder club but I was only offer ones in Ireland so I turned them all down as it would take 4-5 years from there I think.

Instead I sent him out on loan to a La Liga team, and when I got the chance to apply for him permit again I did. To my surpise it was granted, even though it was only a few months after I signed him. He's just played 2 games for the Paraguay team too, at 18 that's pretty impressive. Looking forward to bringing him back next season.

Challenged a guy at work to see who could get an offer from a team in the Top 5 leagues (BPL, La Liga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie A)

Both starting with a club from League 1 that is currently 12th in the league (irl) or lower.

I was torn between Colchester and Blackpool... I went with Col Utd and here's how the league looks after 15 games.
