Forgot how bad job searching was :(

Got a call back from assessment centre and got job at last, one of the world's biggest companies, grad scheme and UK travel. Absolutely delighted to say the least. It's been over a year looking whilst studying and it's finally paid off.

After what seems like a long time, I have an interview tomorrow for a new Cash Converters store. Yeah I know, hardly special but hopefully it's a step to get where I want to be.

Haven't had a proper interview for a while and I don't feel as prepared as I should be. No idea what I'm going to be asked!

That's brilliant, and its good :) Not just a tie over.

Well done matey

Well I was utter crap in my interview. If I can't even do well in an interview for Cash Converters I'm really going to struggle. Nerves got the best of me.

2 mroe jobs I had been contacted about and thought nothign more would happen have turned out to be still waiting on management at the respective places to get their bum in gear for various reasons.

So still got 3 places interested, however one of them is London based but need to see if they mind working from home/another location when not out on a customer site.

Off on hols now so fingers crossed I'll have some good news when I'm back.

Been searching for a few months now, finally got an offer that involves me moving from general IT to information security (Desktop/Email/Web/Encryption/DLP/Remote Access). Feels like it could be a good move - specialising in IT seems to be the way to go.

Applying for a local role in printing and design but I cannot for the life of me think how to start the cover letter. Any ideas?

I am seeking a role as a printer......Just doesn't cut it :p My experience isn't even from this background.

Just been rejected for a role at the Serious Fraud Office.

Did not even get to interview though my work history is very suited to this type of role. Meh.

Now applying for temp jobs which is something I did not want to do. :(

Applied for the first temp job this morning which looked remotely interesting.

Packaging mortgages up for a broker in Reading.

Money is pap though it is only for 6 weeks. Might be less, might be more.

Meeting agent tomorrow and as long as my chat goes ok, should be starting on Monday.

Still looking elsewhere though but at least it is something. :)

Currently going back to looking for temp work again. I've been offered a Merchant Navy Cadetship starting in January, but have gotten to the point in my current Role where I just can't take it anymore. :( All I need is work until Christmas to see me through.

Got my notice today. Kind of expected it though as it was only a contract role and I would have got nearly two months out of it by the time I finish next week. Manager is pleased with my work and will give a good reference its just the project is coming an end. Ah well, it is getting a bit much travelling down to Coventry and then staying over in the week and its a 10 hour working which I'm finding a bit tiring.

Back to job searching then but I have a things up my sleeve which I can try first. It's useful to have contacts! ;)

Surely my B.S.C. Information Systems is worth something right!? Graduated earlier this year and I'm not too sure what to do with it :/

you could sit down take your time and fold it up really neatly into a

:p

Well done in finding good temp work in Reading. I genuinely struggled when looking for temping work in Reading.

There is a dearth of interesting temp work in Reading.

Like I said, the money is pretty pap, less than a third of what I was on earlier this year.

Can't moan really though. :)

I would have thought Reading and the surrounding areas would have lots of Jobs due to the Thames Valley and Technology?

There's also a lot of demand for them so they get snapped up quickly. Temping agencies in Reading are actually now beginning to refuse holding CVs on record because they have so many. It's mental.
