This is a big mistake by the Russians. It would have been much better to continue to deny knowing who these men are.

For me this whole scenario is further proof that Russia under Putin can basically do whatever they want and get away with it as long as they make contradictory wild claims afterwards, insert "Western Propaganda" in the sentence, then say something openended about what Britain has done itself at the end.

Putin is a full blown genius at ****-Housery and is completely unmatched by anyone else in that field, meanwhile everyone else runs around playing his game and failing to realise he's got this all planned out.

I really hope they didn't drop all they had when they named the guys the other day, because they need to draw him out first, let him make his wild claims and then slowly release further facts to corroborate the UK side.

Other wise it's just all the Russia other stories all over again, I suppose none of it matters much when no one in Russia will believe it anyway

I'm surprised they didn't sell them out and go for the "Russian patriot" angle they love to use with Ukraine.

For me it's just further proof they just DGAF

They are crapping themselves now, they have been caught and they know it. But they do this and have massive influence over the weak minds and sadly the US does the same too these days so they will get away with it.

The way their misinformation system operates requires maintaining a modicum of plausibility. They've just crossed that line imo.

Pain from what exactly? they supply Gas for most of Europe, that most of Europe has no other alternative to.
Most of their rich's fund are in half of Londons property and Chelsea Football club.

They know they can just use a bit of plausible deniability here and there and it will just die off as Litvinenko did, They probably have done exactly the same thing to that Pussy Riot dude today because seriously Putin doe's not GAF about any of this and we are powerless to do anything worthwhile about it anyway.

Ahhhhh but that is where you are wrong my friend. I live in Salisbury and they scrapped CCTV about two years ago so i cant see how CCTV has anything to do with evidence gathered. Basically the CCTV was scrapped because it was "too expensive" to run, like employing the security guards that monitored it 24/7 and were going to implement a much cheaper solution 3 months later..... this never happened as far as i know and the CCTV for the city is still in limbo land. Yes there have been some footage released but these are shop cameras from what i can tell.

Unless of course something has been added very recently.....

Because they need the west too and can only go so far. I was watching a couple of interviews yesterday with Russians. both of whom were of the view of Russia is now worrying. It will give a strong indifferent front as that is they way of working, but they have been caught and will probably see more evidence in the coming days of who these people really are and need to watch how far they push the west as they don't want to go too far. Don't take Russian indifference and a cocky leader was a real representation of the global landscape was their point and I am of the same, though less informed opinion.

What does private housing or business operated and funded CCTV have to do with the councils budget?

Yeah of course there can be some that get the way it really is, but in my view, while he is leader none of that will change, the media machine there is up there with North Korea so it will take a lot to get him out (given that most of the opposition get bumped off)
