Oh come on Russia will be super intimidated when we park both our carrier fleets off their coast and fly all those... oh never mind.
There is no successor lined up, and We'll probably find the person succeeding him will be worse...
Edit: Medvedev was the closest - he portrayed himself when he was president as more libreral and reformist especially against corruption, but nothing changed, Putin was still in control in reality.

Yeah, we'll get out gas from solar panels and wind turbines! >.>
Would they be though? Or would it be like when Stalin went we end up with more moderate types.
After all there shouldn' be any hard core cold war era types even around by then.
More expensive heating and **** food, the future doesn't look very nice XDOr that we start moving more towards electrical for both
Can't be sure but Putin seems to keep tight control on things for better or worse, if there was a power vacuum post Putin there isn't as much to enable the more moderate types and counter those with less scruples who might reach for power compared to typical in the Western world.

yes it was Nemtsov ?Or some kind of youth movement style candidate
There's a huge white nationalism movement in Russia which has various allegations of state support. Liberal they are not.
Sounded a bit ominous from May there.
going to be interesting to see what support we get from other countries on economic and diplomatic sanctions.
We need to see that first before we start throwing our weight around too much. I dont think Russia are as weak as SPG is making them out to be. They may be a wounded animal in some respect, but they are a wounded animal with huge military and nuclear capability.
