Thanks. So, it looks like they might have been unlucky rather than deliberately targeted.

Hopefully their movements can be traced so the source can be found and cleaned up. This won't do much for the confidence of residents & visitors. :(

Won’t help at all. The place must be struggling. Land value must have been hit.

Makes you wonder if they found a sealed container or something that was discarded from the initial attempt and opened it up or similar.

Seems like they got a bit unlucky. I doubt the GRU/Russian Mafia would have much reason to target a couple of unemployed British people.

Or the one that actually did it contaminated themselves and spread it as they traveled, which is what happened with the polonium poisoning.
