By default, avatars in Xenforo are squares but masked in circles, so the threads would have squashed avatars next to them with a smaller avatar next to it to indicate you've posted in the thread. I don't believe that by default it's possible to tell if a thread has new posts or not by looking at the indicator. For example, this is how it would look for this thread using the default Xenforo theme.

I much prefer the red dot icons we had this morning. BMP envelopes can suck the big one.
 
After a few days usage I am definitely seeing a large rendering performance regression, if there is no embeds it feels ok, but page loads with embedded content such as tweets seem to render far more slowly, and also dont align correctly on newest unread post as well. Something has changed in this area between this forum version and the old one.

Even on this page it happens, both thundycat and EVH signatures, load after the initial page render, then it inserts them and the page position jumps. Thats the best way I can describe it. On the old forum, I believe they would render same time as rest of page.

Looks like they are both hosted by the same site, wonder if that could be why?

Edit: wow load speeds with sigs off is miles better! But it feels empty. :/

Regarding this. On the old version when clicking the envelope didn't it used to take you to the first unread post, or if all posts were read, the last post in the thread?

Now clicking the envelope when all posts have been read takes you to the first post not the last. please can it be changed to how it was? I keep clicking the envelope and it doesn't do what I think it is going to. :o
 
Something I think may have been asked but I can't see in the first post as either an issue or deemed not an issue...

On the mobile layout, I'm sure the old version had a full breadcrumb trail of links, so if you were in a Football Stadium thread for example, you could hit Forums or Life or Sports Arena or Football Stadium depending on how far back up the tree you wanted to go.

Now it only shows one level, so it's multiple clicks to get back to the Life forum if you're in a Football Stadium thread. It's much slower, with multiple page loads and multiple interactions needed.

Is this possible to add back in?

Edit - the links are there in landscape, it'd be nice to have them in the portrait view too though.
