I checked and it also happen in this thread, I suspect it has something to do with how Kaapstad creates these owner threads.

Not getting that on either thread, I've tested using Chrome and Safari on macOS.

Do you have any other browsers you can test? Do you have any extensions in Firefox? If so, please try disabling them and test again. Kaapstad can't do anything other than click "New thread" to start a new thread.

I tried edge on my desktop and it did not produce the behaviour. My add-ons (only three) in firefox are disabled when I'm on the forums.

I tried firefox on my work laptop, which doesn't have any add ons. And on two occasions it dowloaded the file (this is due to the default behaviour set to saving files in the downloads folder.) However I cannot get it to reproduce the result, since then. I tried edge and it does not produce this behaviour

I can still produce the result on my desktop very consistenly by flicking between the 1st and 2nd page with the next and previous button.

Through my work laptop I have remote access to my work desktop in the office (firefox no add ons) and it produces the same result of downloading this file. I also tried it with the ask where to save prompt and I get the result of the save dialogue popping up rather than downloading the file. It doesn't happen as consistently as my personal PC, but it does happen. I tried edge on this pc and it is fine as well.

The file in question is a ".htm" file, 0kb size and a random string of characters. I scanned it with the Sophos Endpoint and it came up clean.

This will be something local to you causing a problem, the fact its trying to download a .htm file suggests you have something not accessing the page correctly.

Decided to google it and it seems to be a weird bug/thing that happens in firefox.

This has just happened for me again. Thread is the Raised by Wolves one in the TV forum. Last post was 6th June. Envelope took me to the first post in the thread.

This is still consistently happening, any thread that's not had a new post in a while takes me to the first post in the thread,

This is default Xenforo behaviour, it’s working as intended, all Xenforo boards do it. Click/tap ‘Jump to new’.

XF 2.1 - When clicking forum, pop up downloads of blank html files

On my website if I click forum, I get 3-5 different html files that pop up for download. They are named random characters and if I do download them they have no content when looking into them. Any idea why this is happening? Is this some type of spam that has been injected...

On mobile it appears under the page switchers next to watch.

Ahhhh What have I done.

Life page is white on blue as normal. GD is now white on green Motors is white on dark grey. Home and garden is white on blue. Is it me ??

Mines gone green as well. You san turn it back to blue in preferences but then once in threads it goes back to green.
