Forza 5 Announced

Why oh why does this have to be an xbox one launch exclusive. It looks absolutely epic but with all the speculation regarding the xbox one performance I just can't make an informed decision around which console to get until after they are released.

My honest advice is that if you have to have the most powerful console, then get a PS4. It's more powerful and will remain more powerful. If however you just want the console to run well, then get the console that has the most games on that you want. The Xbox One performance "issues" are nothing more than launch teething troubles IMO, and won't be a problem in the future.

As long as the 14 tracks are good ones I'm not bothered. Not too devo'd about Nurburgring either tbh as I find it a bit of a chore. Give me Spa any day.

Spa, Laguna Secca, Bathurst, updated silverstone and all the others are good tracks.

Yeah its a miss but one i dont care too much about.

As for the car count, I'd rather have 200 cars than 1000 and some of them look like they were modeled 10 years ago on PS2.

Forza Horizon was amazing how many cars did that have? it was the best open world racer i have ever played.

Forza 5 is a launch title for me one i will play to death but im looking forward to Horizon 2 more becasue its more fun.

By level 30 i will be getting bored to death of single player and online will depend on options available.

not sure why you are bring gt into it. the issue is forza 4 had 400plus cars i think and 24plus tracks.

maybe they are rebuilding tracks like nurb because apparently they were way off the mark....dlc later on?

Off the top of my head these are the FM4 tracks that got cut :
Camino Veijo
Fujimi Kaido
Hockenheim
Iberian
Infineon
Ladera
Maple Valley
'Ring GP
'Ring Nordschliefe
Mugello
Rally de Positano
Sedona
Sunset
Suzuka
Tsukuba
Twin Ring Motegi
Benchmark

Sources say the Nordschliefe is coming in January.

I for one will miss Suzuka, Road America and Infineon a lot.

I'm with you there on Suzuka and Infineon, Suzuka is/was almost Forza for me. It's a shame they had to wait for next gen to start a quality drive on tracks especially for those just added to the franchise like Infineon which seems a bit short sighted.

Ironically I did think when I saw that FM5 promo of a camera mounted on a McLaren 12C passing the stills which incidentally left me cold. Why not show us a video of Bathhurst being laser scanned which would have been more impressive and now it's actually in there with Spa.

Wow, not many cars or tracks

Yeah lower than I expected. I was expecting about 300 cars and add the dlc for 12 months that would make over 400 cars. I actually quite liked Nurburgring, I sure hope they bring it back as DLC...
Regardless Turn10 have yet to leave me in shocking disappointment. Since the second Forza I've enjoyed myself immensely and know this will continue with Forza 5.

I'll miss these especially - 14 tracks isn't enough. 200 cars is fine with me, especially since most of the cars above R4 are the same but with different liveries.

I think their pushing their luck with the price and the amount of DLC. Day One DLC of one of the best cars is a special kick in the face.

No pit stops
No flag rules
No tire wear
No dynamic weather
No dynamic time of day
No dynamic track surface

cant believe some journos try and call this game a sim.

Also I must be the only person who actually wants the series to have LESS cars, I'd rather have 50-100 cars with great physics and modelling than have 300 ones with poor physics.
