Ta, had tried closing tray tasks but will look into Processes too.
 
I don't know why, but I'm losing interest in this already, the exact same thing happened to FH3 which was my only concern before purchase. I can't put my finger on why. I've done so many races, completed different series, done some rivals, tuned some cars, but I'm getting bored of all that now. What else is there to do? Am I missing something or a lot?
 
Myself and d3k have been doing daily rivals .. we have 3-4 races open atm . wih the banter in discord it keeps it alive .. yes its just another forza but after dropping £80 im trying not to be bored of it !!

I believe its just an "age" thing. Older you get the less impressed you become.
 
IMO is just perception. I love this game and I'm also not as excited as I was a while ago: I put more than 15 hours into it since it came out, of course I want a break.

Is probably the same. Of what wouldn't you be less excited about If you had so much of it in a short amount of time?

I'm going to keep Horizon 4 (alongside Quake Champions) as a side-game while I play other stuff until the next Horizon comes out.

Have you checked that the latest Windows updates are installed?

That always seems to cause me issues.
 
I was starting to loose a bit of interest, but last night I decided I wanted to dip my toe (no pun intended) into tuning. As a kid playing Gran turismo 2 on the PS1, I used to stare at all the tuning settings, having absolutely no idea what any of it did but it looked cool. Now, as an adult with a mild interest in cars, I at least know what all the settings refer to, but I have very little idea how they actually effect the drive, and how to balance everything.

I decided to start with building a drag car, as it looks easier than building a race car. I chose to tune my Chevy Nova FE I recently won in a wheelspin.

I downloaded the most popular drag racing tune and tried it out on the horizon festival drag stip. In auto (I know) I was getting 9 seconds flat give or take 50ms

I spent about 3, maybe 4 hours playing with all the settings (and looking at guides) I managed to get my own tune to match the downloaded tune's time fairly easily with rough settings, then made it worse, then better, then better again, and finally felt happy with the car I had built running a consistent 8.8 secs on auto (8.3 with my very noob manual skills)

So that was my night, Its pretty sad but I felt like I had achieved something by besting the 5* tune by a whopping 0.2 secs :)
 
so.... i am only a couple of hours into this, ive just got to Autumn, how do i apply vinyls to cars? how do i upgrade and apply bodykits ect? i know im probably being stupid but i cant find it anywhere, only creative hub to download vinyls! :(
 
well, the game updated, and now my game crashes on the main menu after pressing A to continue....

Pretty annoying, I had no issues before...
 
look out for a speeding white Transit Van with ladders on its roof, it will be me as ive downloaded a tune kit for it, does over 200 mph now

Same thing happened to me, I just uninstalled and re-downloaded and it worked again. Couldn't find a fix for it!

I found the tuning to be a bit erratic. I only tested fine tuning on a few settings, and comparing the stopping distances on the left. At one decimal increment it would be good, the next increment up it would sometimes double the distance, then back down again on the subsequent increment. I don't mod cars but I know that's just nonsense.

Me too! Plenty more saying the same on the official forums too.

Seems a fresh install fixes it. FFS.
 
if you buy the nissan R390 you can spend 25 skill points and unlock the GT-R LM forza edition which is worth about 1.2 million iirc.

Its a beast of a car apparently

It only works if you buy the R390 from the autoshow though, you cant unlock the gist with skill points if its from the auction. :( I learnt that the hard way.

I also found out how there were so many high level players so quickly upon release.

If you go to the mixer.com and log in with your microsoft account you gain influence for watching forza streams. So you can leave a stream open all day/night and earn xp.
