I'm sure I messed up a corner on that one and gave up after a few laps, probably had another second or two to knock off that!

Bah, I improved after trying again, then kept beating my ghost thinking I was doing faster and faster laps. Turns out the best lap time isn't updating? I'm having to set a better time, quit the event, and then reload it with a new rival before a new best time is taken. I can still squeeze a bit more out but cba trying anymore

yes because your still trying to beat that particular person/time, so it wont get updated on the fly

drift zones are becoming a pain, managed to 3 star 2 of them tonight, the 3rd one, i cant do after hours of trying !!
tried turning everything off/simulation, i find steering NORMAL best for me, otherwise i just spin out..

Yeah the normal steering stops/nullifies some of massive spikes in the way that the rear end of the car rotates, basically makes it so you've got way more recovery time with a lot less input.

Anyone having an issue doing the 'vehicle of the week' thing? I have the 2015 Z06 and the 2016 Viper ACR, went in both but it wouldn't finish part 1.

I ended up buying a new Corvette Z06 and it worked with that one. It's like it doesn't know you have one in your garage until you buy a new one.
