Fuel price discussion thread (was ‘chaos’)

That cheap membership is for online shopping only. Its much more expensive for in-store and petrol
Its ~£30 for membership, not bad value. I used to use it loads in the summer, great for stocking on stuff for parties, and its always been good for general household supplies.

170p for diesel in Costco today, 159p for petrol, we were like ooh that reasonable before recalling, oh it's still a good 30p too high :D

Something tells me some are still profiting judging by these price differences. A few p here and there fine but 20p that’s not right.

Set up a dormant company and you can get Trade membership just by showing your company house certificate.

Heck you can even get Booker cash&carry membership just by showing letterhead paper and business card. I got B&Q Trade Point membership just by uploading a PDF letterhead I knocked up in 2 minutes. :o

I guess this thread going quiet is an indication prices have been dropping all over the country :p

The lowest I've seen around here now is £1.61 for regular unleaded, but I'm bumping the thread as I just got an email from our fuel card company saying they are expecting prices they are charging to rise ~5p from Sunday.

Seems a little against the grain since the oil price is still falling isn't it?

thought the one thing we'd learned was the price is pushed up by a) price of oil & b) whatever the garage figures it can get away with charging

local prices around me havn't really dropped much, were still at 174/184 :(

Small independent garage the other day was charging £1.99 for both.

The guys a right miserable sod so I suspect he doesn’t really care wether people come or not.
