getting back slightly towards on topic, how much of an effect is this going to have on people?
as previously moaned abot every 10p a litre rise in fuel cost works out at £1100 a year onto my running costs for my business. considering in the last 12 months fuels jumped over 20p a litre that works out at my profits being 2grand less this year before i even consider reduced trade and any other factors.
2 grand increase in my fuel bill for a couple of taxis, makes you wonder just how much of an increase the larger haulier companies are suffering with?
the only thing i can see coming out of this is a lot of people in the transport/haulage business taking the risk and running their vehicles on red diesel
Food is going to continue to rise, and cue haullage firms being angry but prevented to only demonstrating in towns, wasting petrol. Terrorist truck drivers they be.
People will just continue to pay, or drive less. If it keeps on like this its going to start to effect low earner car ownership. Not sure about red diesel, fines and court action do put a lot off.
