Fuel up/down again

as soon as we start bombing Libya, we ain't going to get any of his oil. So prices will be only heading up :(

I think we signed our death warrant on that the second Cameron's letter to the Rebels was made public, hence why we were so eager to get the no fly zone through before his forces got to the rebel capital and ousted them.

Interesting the suprise reaction from the Libyan government was to announce a cease fire as a result of the UN Resolution. It will remain to be seen how serious they are but the markets reacted by dropping slightly.

Seems like a bit of a copout to me.

How come they absolutely couldn't possibly in any way shape or form stop the last duty rise but have managed to stop this one without any problem?

They should be reversing the last one never mind stopping this one.

1p per litre? One lousy pence per litre?! thanks going to make f'all difference when fuel has gone up by so much just in the last few months, never mind the 20 odd pence in the last year.

rypt seems to be hoping for it to make fuel cheaper, ignoring the other effects.

Come on a 1p rise cancelled and a 1p reduction, its better than nothing!

So now the Government simply shifts the blame onto the oil and gas companies instead, neatly averting any real blame.

And it's still 12p a litre more than last year.

Regardless, there's no ceiling to the price of fuel and being a limited resource it's only going to continue to rise.
