Fuji X Series

I guess it all depends on the quality, I would say mine is 9+ and also including battery grip and spare battery, plus all original boxes and manuals etc

I keep all my gear in very good condition but, I guess you could argue I don't use it enough either :p

When I traded in my old Canon gear with Wex, they actually credited me more than what they quoted because the condition was better than expected for the age.

If either of you are interested message me in trust, I'm willing to negotiate! or reply in the MM thread https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/fuji-x-t1-more.18767287/

I go to £750 for my 5D3 from MBP due to...

Paint rubbed off under thumb dial from my palm
Paint rubbed off from strap
Scuff on LCD probably from my glasses
150k shutter count (is thought it would be higher tbh!)

It went into their "well used" category despite there are no chips on the body, no dents and everything works. I did hope for more but ultimately wasn't that bothered as it paid for itself many moons ago.

Has anyone got or used a soft release button with their Fuji's, I'm considering getting some cheap ones but not really sure if they are worth it or not!?

I have one for my X100T. I never really thought that they'd be any good but I bought one on a whim as an Amazon add on for only a couple of quid or so. It definitely makes the shutter a bit nicer to operate so I'd say go for it.

I used a small amount of blue threadlock on mine to make sure it doesn't come lose.

Do this. I didn't. It came off.

Did yours come with the little rubber washer?

I'd rather not have to use any threadlock as I'm toying with the idea of getting a mechanical shutter release too, so will need to be unscrewing the soft release anyway

Yep as others have said my soft shutter release would't stay in my x100s. It would last about half an hour before it was loose and fall out. I used a small dab of my wife's clear nail polish about 18 months ago on it and after a couple of holidays and city breaks the thing has never fallen out again.

Something just for the price of a compact camera, my last compact I bought was a Olympus XZ-1 which cost me around £250 but I notice that the X-Pro 1 used can be had now for similar price (plus lenses).

Is this camera still stack on by modern standard? I only plan to put a 23mm lens in front of it and leave it at that.

Finally the new 50mm f2 is about to be released. WR and relatively light and a good compromise on performance/size/speed. Unfortunately Fuji appear to be pricing it at £450! Waited about 1.5 years for this lens but won't be buying it at that price.

Fuji 35mm f2 = £349
Fuji 23mm f2 = £420
Fuji 50mm f2 = £449

What exactly is unexpected about the price of the 50mm f2? Does your 1.5 year wait go unanswered because it is £30 more expensive that a smaller, optically less complex lens? It is also almost half the price of the 56mm f1.2 lens.

Seems like cutting your nose off to spite your face... :p

Oh right. Wondered if it helped in CL or CH firing mode. I was very confused when I first got my XT10 -- I used to use my Nikon in C mode all the time as I was able to fire off a single-shot if I wanted, and then just hold down for bursts. With the XT10 if I'm in CL/CH mode I can't for the life of me manage to fire off a single shot, it's always two :p

..and it's still relatively cheaper than the XF35 f1.4 unless he's thinking about trying to get a used one by waiting longer ?

What is the use of a soft shutter release?
I'm unsure as I have never tried one. saying that, I like the look of the "Bird" Lensmate with an accompanying thumb grip to throw on the XE2 I'm using as a point and shoot.
