Nice one Sid, glad u got it all up and running, we have almost identical rigs (good taste :D )
Scores very similar, I have managed to OC (see above/previous) to 500/1400 which gave me 500 more marks in 05.
If you do want to overclock you wiil need something like coolbits http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=201
which will give you extra options.
Depending on how you are partitioned, you can just stick in your windows XP disk in the drive, set bios to boot from Cd before hard disk and follow the on screen prompts, reformat etc. You must make sure you back up anything you want to keep, like docs and game saves, have all drivers including motherboard ones to hand, this can all take a few hours @ least :)
Have phun ;)

LOL I know how to rebuild my PC :p

I'll give the OCing a blast tomorrow, followed by the rebuild. Gonna fire up Oblivion now and see what I can see :D

I received a Bliss 7800GS AGP 512MG today.
I seated it in my AGP slot and attached my Sony monitor via the DVI cable. I booted the computer and it would not display anything. I changed the cable to the 2nd DVI socket and still nothing.
I replaced the Gainward Bliss with my old MSI 9800pro and booted and it worked fine. I tried the Gainward again and still no display.
I replaced my 9800pro and it booted fine. I reset the bios and left the cmos battery out for 10 minutes with the computer unplugged from the socket. I also removed any pci cards and rebooted but still no display when I replaced the Gainward Bliss AGP 512mb.
I am using a Seasonic S-12 600W PSU which has two PCI-E plugs. I have tried both of these plugs. I have tried the PCI-E to molex adaptor but that doesn't make a difference either.
The strange thing is when I attach my second Acer VGA monitor via the DVI-VGA adaptor at the same time the computer does boot to display, however there are video card faults, like artifacts on the screen. Looks like missing black squares and characters not displaying correctly. However it doesn't boot into windows.
My system specs are.
Motherboard: ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe Revision 2.0 (Latest Bios update)
CPU: Athlon XP 3200+ (Barton Core)
1 gig of ddr ram
Seasonic S-12 600W Powersupply.
Asus 19inch LCD.

I will be at my computer constantly over the next few days.

Sounds faulty to me m8. But do to test it in another PC first. Upon it been faulty just call OcUK tech support and inform them your having no luck with getting it to post and that you have tried it in more than one machine. Get an RMA number, ship it back and ask for priority swap out authorised by Gibbo which should get the part turned around in 24 hours. Alternatively bring it back to our counter but you must book it in with tech as they cannot always test faulty hardware on the spot, especially if they are busy.

Cheers Gibbo. I tested it in another PC last night. The exact same thing happened. Just to make sure it's not a power supply issue (as that PC only had a 400W) I used an Enermax Noisetaker 480w just for the card (by bridging pins 13-14 with a paper clip) and the EXACT same thing happened on that computer.
I had tried everything I could possibly think of on my own computer yesterday and was stressing because the only 2 possibilities left would be incompatibility with the BIOS or a faulty unit. See it's easter weekend which is going to slow the traffic down big time. It took 6 days for the unit to arrive to me last time, so I can only think it's going be longer now.
edit: ive managed to get thru to tech support now.
Thanks so far anyway you've been helpful what with authorizing me a priorty swap out and everything.

I've been critical of OCUK's telephone/returns in the past, but that's top notch. :)

can you tell I've worked as a repair technician before??

Well in all fairness EVERYTHING that is electrical no matter if it's made EXACTLY like all the other ten thousand same video cards of that make and model ARE going to fail for an unknown reason. Probably just because something is off by a nano-meter or some microscopic impurity or stress fracture happens.
Also in all fairness almost EVERY company these days are absolutely crap at customer service :-) Well at least the big one who have a good stock range and decent prices. There is only so much the employees can do, versus us thousands of demanding users.

That said it is VERY easy to gripe and groan. Especially when you've spend over 800euros and had to wait for it to arrive and then when it does it still isn't shipped until four whole days and when it arrives the thing is faulty and you just gone nuts testing the thing thinking it's your computer that's causing the problems only to find out four hours later the thing is defintely faulty. Then you have to make sure all the bits are back in the box packaged correctly, find some blank packing material, write out the address and walk down to the post office and back again and wait another week. :)

BUT hey thems the breaks. Frankly we should be thankful we live in a society where these type of products and service are available to us in the first place and stop b17(h1ng about oh I have to wait another week i want it now now now. Ha. ;)

Anyway the good news is the card LOOKS better than in the pictures. The cooler is a black shiny monster and the card is red so it looks like a ferrari. Also it's extremely QUIET. Even quiter than my zalman cu-700 turned down to 7volts.

I just can't wait till the thing gets back and I can start playing some decent games. :p

I got my card last Saturday, REALLY happy with it and a big improvement over my x850 xt pe. Gained about 35% over my old card using 3d mark 03 numbers. I have a 480 W akasa psu. the card shuts down to low clock speeds and tells me i dont have enough power to safely operate my card when playing games. This card must be power hungry!!!!!!!!!! On the same rail i have a sata drive and nothing else.I guess its time i got myself that modular psu i have my eyes on. :D  (and that ram i guess)

I recomend this card, oblivian just looks awesome!!!!!

This thing does eat power, I think the reccomendation is to give it two molexes on a line that nothing else is attached to. Also I'd not want to put my hard drive on the same line, as in the unlikely event of something blowing, you might lose the card and your drive.
