Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon

Was ready to hate this beciase of how Got ended. Can't though, first solid two episodes really where many shows Stumble finding there pace.

Forget it wasn't HBOs fault for GoT was down to two David's that ruined it all.

Another solid episode, maybe moving a little to fast compared to early GoT that I really enjoyed.

The quick movement of people from king landing to dragonstone both to get the egg and then the meeting at the end is a little jarring, makes the world its based in feel small compared to how vast it felt in early GoT. I'd prefer if we had another storyline or two building up and that end meeting happened next episode or even the one after.

Well they got 200 years to be done before GOT they need to move fast :D

I liked it but I don’t really like any form of ‘carrot dangling’ in TV shows, have it substantially in the episode or don’t… so the snippets of crab eater victims was a bit annoying through that lens.

With the very small cast, it feels like it’s set up for a lot to unfold very quickly - expecting sparks to fly dramatically soon. So I hope I’m proved wrong and the world ‘fleshes out’ over the next few episodes to avoid it being a quick game of ‘GOT plot arc’ bingo.

It’s a bit of a shame that we’re already in major ‘heir to the throne’ territory whereas GOT had a lot of slow burn plot for character development before and in between the drama. Arya doing sword training etc, just minor stuff. I’d like a bit more of that in the series - we had some of it with the ‘model building’ so here’s hoping :)
