US: Game of Thrones - Season 3 - Book Comparison (Spoilers)

I just rewatched the latest episode...I loved Blackfish in the books, I can't stand him in the series!

You'd think he might be a bit more understanding about Edmure not wanting to marry:o

I don't remember Jon being legitimised?

Before the RW, Robb writes a will stating Jon as his heir...much to Catelyn's horror. It is theorized to become quite important in the next few books. Maybe as George wrote this episode, it won't be:((though it is just as likely that he has got confused, wouldn't be the first time:p)

I don't recall him stating Jon. Hmm.
I'd need to go back and reread that section.
The girl is different in book and tv series, at least we've been led to believe she is a very different person.

And much as i wiuld like t check, it would appear for some very strange reason that apple have removed my entire series of ice and fire saga stories from the flipping ipad. I don't even know why that would have happened or when it happened, must be at some bloody update.
Annoying.

I suppose Robb could still write a will naming Jon heir, as in the books he does it after learning that Sansa has married Tyrion...but whatshername being pregnant makes it a bit ropey tbh.

(pretty sure GRRM confirmed that it is Jon named in Robb's will, which I believe is in the posession of Maeg Mormont and Galbart Glover?)

Well stannis offered to legitimise him, and offered him winterfell if he liked, he turned down stannis and remained commander of the night's watch. A will may or not have any bearing at all. Howland Reed should show up with Davis and Rikkon at some point for an air to Winterfell in a forthcoming book, so John being name heir to the North might not matter so much.
He is heir to the entire throne in all likelyhood, assuming he gets legimised one would think, or marrys Dany. They wed brothers and sisters didn't they?
Who knows where the author will advance it.

They the ones that went to find Howland Reed?

I really want Reed to be a PoV character for the next book, there is so many questions he could answer.

Last we saw of him things weren't looking too rosy...
